A cat that was run down by a car and written off for dead apparently clawed its way out of the grave and made its way home to be fed.
Bart, a pet found on the street in a pool of blood more than a week ago, was pronounced dead by vets in Tampa, Florida.
But five days later he was outside owner Ellis Huston's house again expected dinner - albeit with a gruesome wound which makes him look the part for a member of the living dead - and means he will lose an eye.

fucking creepy.
dailymail but still a weird article and all
Jesus that right eye
That's a gruesome wound, not just the eye but the skin that's been exposed too.
Something something nine lives
That eye looks horrid. I'm surprised it sat still for the picture long enough, I'd expect him to go absolutely mad with pain.

Probably was in almost constant shock from such a wound, and from also being hit by a car.

And from being buried alive. :(
I can see the T-virus had its first successful result :v:
Florida man must be thrilled to have his zombie cat back.
What the fuck is with Florida.

You know. I was curious, so I clicked through to the source. Here's another picture of the poor kitty.

Broken jaw, going to lose the eye, but was penciled in for surgery and according to the article was likely to survive. Hopefully Bart has a warm place and gets lots of cuddles.
Creepy and awesome at the same time.
This is how the outbreak begins.
Looks like a fucking zombie cat
Can I chase it?
Jesus that right eye
Uuuuh I think you mean that left eye
And he's back for revenge
Uuuuh I think you mean that left eye
That depends.
Looks like a cat for a bond villain or something
8 lives left.
Something something pet cemetery.

Cats are strange creatures. One of mine had an abcess on his shoulder the size of a dime that was a literal window into the muscles beneath his skin. I have no idea how the fuck he got it, it had to hurt like hell, yet he acted as if it wasn't even there. He turned out fine, the vet stitched it up and it healed right as rain. But yeah. Case in point, cats are like honey badgers from time to time.
Also, it was insanely interesting to peer in there and just watch things moving around. Didn't bleed a drop, it was almost surgical. Not gonna lie I spent a fair bit of time staring in the hole in the waiting room of the vet.
That cat is a badass. I would cuddle it.

That gave me flashbacks to Alexis St Martin, the guy who survived with a hole into his stomach.
So cats really do have multiple lives

If a cat's wound is deep enough, it doesn't bleed. My father figured that out when instead of cutting out a knot in our (now deceased) cat's fur, he cut the skin wide open instead.
Healed right up within a week. Cat didn't bitch once.

would you cuddle Bruce Willis too then
5 days before that cat made it back home. Has some incredible endurance.

Ya my one cat has like an extra digit on one of her paws that is an ingrown nail, every now and then I grab her, she screeches, then I cut it off and she cuddles up to me for weeks, it must irritate her but its also painful to remove
would you cuddle Bruce Willis too then
Yes. Wouldn't you? Is that even a real question?

First thing that came to mind

I apparently forgot how to tag
That honestly sounds like horror movie shit.
Like the cat dies and comes back the next day saying "you weren't finished feeding me, were you?"
