Here's the story, I was walking through my neighborhood on my way home, and I noticed some boxes in an alleyway. I just assumed someone was loading stuff into their house so I just continued on my way. About 3 hours later I took the bins out into the alley and noticed that the boxes were still there. It was starting to rain so I said fuck it and took them. The first box was this. And inside was the speakers and everything. I even tested the speakers and they worked, only noticeable damage was the tweeter on the left speaker had a small dent in it, but that was not a problem. I also looked up the price of them on shopbot and found they sell for about $250 AUS The second box, more importantly, was this. Which unlike the first box, had a price sticker on it. So now I am thinking of selling the "Fast Track Ultra". And hopefully hit a high price. I'm not quite sure where to sell it though, eBay is sorta out of the question as I'd be selling it through my mums account, and she would most likely want a cut of the pay. I wont be able to reply for a bit, but if any of you have any ideas of where to sell this, post them, I will be grateful. And if any of you know any local places to sell in Melbourne, Australia, post them too :buddy:
Don't sell it, return it to where you got it. Maybe it was left there for someone to pick up.
It could've been a delivery, in which you just commited a federal offense if it was.
Don't listen to him, sell it.
Who leaves a box in an alley?
pretty sure someone was suppose to pick it up...
Quite simply, :milk: Although if you find a loophole and can manage to sell it, good game.
they'll never know it was you :yarr:
There aren't any address numbers or anything in the alley, so it probably wasn't a delivery, and as I said, It started to rain so they would have been destroyed anyway.
In before "those were my boxes"
It also just looked like they had been dumped because they weren't near anyone's house.
If you return it maybe those rich gaming nerds that are deaf can give you $995.00
There aren't any address numbers or anything in the alley, so it probably wasn't a delivery, and as I said, It started to rain so they would have been destroyed anyway.
Hey, did you notice on the music how it said the store's price was $995? That means it could be worth more than you think. I'd research a bit more on the mixer to see the maximum amount you could get.
Allan's don't deliver AFAIK, just sell them on ebay or the trading post or something.
You sir, have luck. I could use one of these, bad.
Phone the house they were closest to, ask if they were expecting a delivery. If they were, tell them you brought some boxes in from the rain for them. If they can confirm what the items are, give them back.
It's tempting to wanna sell it, but you should do the right thing and see if you can find the guy that dumped the boxes and ask if those were for someone else. Or do what that guy says ^.
Put up a flier to see if anyone lost it.

Since when the fuck does FP have morals? Sell it.
Put up a flier to see if anyone lost it.
I agree. Try and find out who owned it. Just because there is no shipping information doesn't mean some one didn't deliver it. Maybe they had some one they knew (Or some one they payed / found) deliver it and couldn't pick it up like the expected to? You don't know what happened. It makes no sense for some one to leave perfectly working equipment like that in an alley way for no reason. And I doubt they were throwing it away.
That's a p. gay belt in the first picture by the way
There is a legitimate way to return that to wherever it may have been purchased from. Remember to mention it was a "gift" though. (Hence no receipt.) sell it
I had a bit of a walk around the area and talked to a couple of people who were closest to the boxes earlier today, none of them knew anything about it.
I had a bit of a walk around the area and talked to a couple of people who were closest to the boxes earlier today, none of them knew anything about it.
Your best bet would be to put up a notice somewhere. If no one claims it after a while then yea, lucky find. But I would always check to see if some one owns it first (And I don't mean leave it up for a day then go sell it...)
i like how most of the selfish ones are saying sell it, but what would happen if somebody stole stuff from you that was worth well worth in the thousands, and what would you do if the guy who took it sold your stuff?
Hooray for stealing!
It's either a normal somebodies stuff or it's a bad sombodies stuff. People don't just throw shit like that out. One one side you have charge with a criminal offense, and on the other you've just pissed off some people you don't want to piss off. tl;dr Either OP is going to jail or he's going to get knock off by the local gang. Sweet dreams!
