My and my girlfriend are only drinking fruit smoothies for two days for a quick detox,
its the first day and already at 1237pm I'm absolutely starving.
I'm not unhealthy or fat or anything, I'm a member of HM forces, but I've been on leave for two weeks and had a massive binge eating and drinking session.
So to conclude, anyone ever tried anything like this?
If so how did it go?

Just eat something. "Detox" is a load of bullshit designed to promote the placebo of being healthy after starving yourself for a few days.
See i am eating fruit, just laying off the carbs and protein for the two days.
My idea of detoxing is to stop taking hard drugs for a week or two. Apparently we are very different people.
It does nothing. Just eat normal. Your body already has a system in place for "detoxing" it's called pissing and shitting.
Though if you really must continue doing this sort of thing(I imagine your girlfriend is the one pushing to do it), you could probably eat some peanuts. They are pretty much tiny energy pellets. You probably will still "feel" hungry, but you won't actually be hungry. The reason you'll feel hungry is because your body will think it's hungry until your stomach is about 60%-70% full.
But yeah, peanuts will get the job done.

You know that your body needs carbs and protein, right?
How about you just run around outside for 40 minutes.
How about you eat some stuff and detox with green tea which is ACTUALLY healthy?

Fruit are like 100% sugar, enjoy your carbs.
What is your reason for 'detoxing' ?
Fruit does indeed contain quite some sugar. Plus that detox thing is bullshit.
You'll be fine, even if you don't 'detox' yourself, why would you do that actually? I see no reason to 'detox' yourself, you won't feel better or anything, and even if you actually do, it's most likely a placebo.
i've never heard of a detox
that must be because i life under a rock
i am completely aware of what my body needs to function, and what is contained in fruit.
and the main reason is to just test it really.
also i run 25 miles a week.
Well, if there's anything in your body that your liver and kidneys can't detox normally, you should go see a doctor.
in other words: detox is bullshit.
I think the whole detox thing is a bit overrated myself. I would have to agree with most everyone else in this thread about it. I'd say that if you've been eating and drinking the wrong things as of late, then rinse out by drinking lot of water. Other then that the detox thing is more a new age hippie sort of bonding thing.

You mean "I live"?
Detox is bullshit it's simply placebo.
Just drink some fuckin green tea or something.
That does actually work, it's not hippie propaganda.
Detox is the most misused word in advertising history, closely followed by "quantum" and "complex carbohydrates". Detox = detoxification, which your liver and kidneys can handle quite well on their own. Detox is just a load of bullshit that snakeoil salesmen use to sell their homeopathy.

Well seeing as you're in the forces I can assume you're in better-than-average physical condition, meaning it will be easier to "bounce back" after all that binging. Just take exercise and eat normal, balanced meals.

went with that.
just made my own meatballs with linguini, only a small portion.
drinking 4 litres of water a day try and flush the crap out in the sauna
to piss more:
drink a fuck load of water/none at all
to shit more:
Eat bran cereal and oatmeal

Does this protein taste sweet from all the fruit you have been eating as of late?

a smoothie in its self

so just water/greens/fruits/leanmeats/peanuts/whole wheat, if you happen to find real "detox" strategies you'll only need them to jump start a diet, otherwise they're useless and do nothing
See i am eating fruit, just laying off the carbs and protein for the two days.
Er, I think fruit are fairly heavy on carbs being that they usually have a lot of sugar in them.
Also, why are you not having protein? This detox thing sounds like bullshit to me.
if you read back, you'l see that i went with sticking to a low cal diet and plenty of water

Then detox isn't something to do, because it wont do anything if you're already into eating healthy/ being active
Just eat balanced meals, only drinking smoothies for days isn't healthy no matter how scared you are about getting fat

not scared, just had a big week of partys and eating bad
