Government experts and independent researchers say North Korean missiles that were paraded in Pyongyang in late July are "almost certainly" fake, according to an NBC News investigation.
The experts and analysts made their determination by studying high-definition photographs of a North Korean military parade held July 27.
NBC News space and missile expert James Oberg, who witnessed North Korea's failed Unha-3 rocket launch in April 2012, pointed to the "undulating skin" seen on a warhead as evidence that it was bogus.
Wow, they were fake? Who would of known.
Misunderstood North Korea.
Often the swords we use ceremonially in the West aren't real combat swords, so technically NK has tradition on their side here

You can still see it.. Just give me a few moments in GIMP...

There's a difference between a sword that only has a ceremonial use and a missile that is actually used in modern warfare.

Pretty sure a Cermemonial sword can do more damage to a person than a fake missle.
And hell, Ceremonial swords have never been real combat swords, thats kinda why they're called ceremonial.

Where the hell did you get a watch that's measured in moments.

is that a Fucking WaterSilde
Yes, it's a waterslide meant for fucking, what'd you expect?
Ofcourse, there's not a snowman's chance in a lake a of boiling lava NK would admit this themselves.
Still, good to know that this likely that the weapons they do have in stock are even older/shittier.

Because you sir, you'd be a winner for that.

Depends how heavy the missile is.
Their Nuclear facilities are just jumping castles
Depends how heavy the missile is.
Knowing North Korea, they were probably inflatable.

I'm not so sure about that, fake ceremonial missiles might have crushed an Americans.
Knowing North Korea, they will probably just launch the missile chassis with a flag inside that says "Kaboom!"
So...North Korea displayed the fake missiles, not realizing that there are literally thousands of highly trained professionals out there who'd be able to call their bluff in a matter of days?
Do they simply not think before they do these things, or does Kim just have a "Make it happen" button on his desk for all of the stupid ideas?
What I don't get is why go to all that bother when they do have genuine missiles they could put on display. The average North Korean citizen, or indeed regular people of any other country, aren't going to give a shit it's not ultra-modern (indeed if they have a negative opinion of NK in general they're still gonna feel uneasy watching it); and the militaries of no other country are going to be the slightest bit impressed or intimidated, at least not more so than if they showed off their working missiles.

yeah, sure, there are 1000 of highly trained professionals that are calling their bluff, but no one in the country knows that.
North Korea is the Truman Show.

All I'm saying is that they HAD to realize that the international community would call their bluff in a matter of days. So unless their country is being run by complete idiots, then it makes no sense why they wouldn't have recognized that there was no way they could fool an entire field of people who can recognize a legitimate missile from a fake one.
the video on the source is like bullshit but really who would build a fake missle out of paper-machet or canvas instead of sheet metal?
[editline]19th August 2013[/editline]
or like missle parts....
[editline]19th August 2013[/editline]
i think they actually did make a fake missle because the real missle defies conception by western eyes, because the great leader's son's son was given the design in a dream by a unicorn, and there was also a dragon for some reason, and the missle sprang forth from his very mind because he is so great.

But they weren't really using the fake missiles for the rest of the world. They were using fake missiles to convince their people they were using them for the rest of the world.
