So something big happened in my hometown of Chelmsford, Ontario today, (which is surprising because nothing ever happens here): the Olympic torch was coming right down Main street! I got up early and faced the icy cold wind to snap some photos. They aren't great, but I'm real glad I got them. I might not get this chance again.
Watching the sunrise, waiting with a cup full of hot chocolate:

Did anyone else get the chance to see the torch?
You should have extinguished the fire, for good measure. Don't want to start a fire storm.
I like them. It shows the atmosphere quite well. 1 x artistic.
Love the first one.
What camera did you use?
D40 and my 55-200mm Nikkor zoom lens. Not the greatest lens in terms of speed, but it gets the job done.
It was about -40C with the wind. Could that have affected my camera in any way?
They have been in my school, shit was so cash.
Not really but still it was cool

The D40 isn't weatherproofed right, so even if it works ok, you wanna keep a watchful eye on it.
Also, carry a big ziplock or something with you because if you suddenly bring your camera+lens into a warm house or car, there's gonna be condensation. Put it in an air-tight bag before entering a warmer area, and take it out after the temperature settles.
why are the runners so fat
Sigh..
If you look at her face it means she isn't that fat its her coat.
And nice pics!

They aren't. It was about -40C, and that's damn cold.
