AVP2 was the fucking shit. It was amazing, and it's a shame that most people dont really know about it.

first mp game i ever played i got dropped into Outpost as a Predator and there was a goddamn queen running around wrecking shit and it came barreling straight at me right as I spawned

the pop-in during the gta4 bit tho, you might want to add a bit of extra time to the start of clips or something so you can shave that off
the "hacking" part was easy as shit
completing it on hardcore as a marine isnt

AvP2 is really fantastic, both single and multi player. Too bad the new AvP game was such garbage
Peeps don't know about this game. It's still fun if you can get beyond the primitive graphics. 3 interwoven stories man.

Some of the best times in MP! Only thing that comes close today is Natural Selection, but even there it lacks the "predator" element.
I'm glad that I still have AVP2 and the expansion pack on disc

I remember I've made a lan party at my house with like 8 people long time ago and among other things we played this. It was great. One time we used the "alien lifecycle" where you start as a facehugger as an alien. I hid behind some boxes, but unfortunately one guy me saw me on his motion detector and decided to check it out. When I jumped on his fucking face he jumped back on his chair and fell back with the chair breaking one of my mom's flowers. Good times.
this shit was the best
even when played with dialup man I was so freaked out by the facehuggers and shit I'd always scramble for the armed powerloader so that they bounced off the glass
oh yeah I got as far as those hanging bodies in the marine campaign, oh man. fully completed the alien and predator campaigns though, that was the shit.
haha yeah I got the gold edition for Christmas from my grandparents and they were like "looks like a really interesting book" and I just stayed quiet hahaha oh man good memories good good memories

We used to MP this game hard out
We'd go to my mate's room at his Dad's house - essentially a small room seperate from the rest of the house, way out in the country. We'd open the doors and windows late at night once we had all our computers set up and go aliens vs marines. All lights turned off, cold breeze coming in, no smart gun, final destination.
Shits were had
When the chest burster came out, My phone vibrated on the table and scared the shit out of me.
