Trump Tried To Convince NSA Chief To Absolve Him Of Any Russian Collusion: Report http://www.newsweek.com/trump-tried-convince-nsa-chief-mike-rogers-russia-investigation-fake-report-626073
A recent National Security Agency memo documents a phone call in which U.S. President Donald Trump pressures agency chief Admiral Mike Rogers to state publicly that there is no evidence of collusion between his campaign and Russia, say reports. The memo was written by Rick Ledgett, the former deputy director of the NSA, sources familiar with the memo told The Wall Street Journal. Ledgett stepped down from his job this spring. The memo said Trump questioned the American intelligence community findings that Russia interfered in the 2016 election. American intelligence agencies issued a report early this year that found Russian intelligence agencies hacked the country’s political parties and worked to sway the election to Trump.
the Streisand effect is a real positive thing he's so worried about people thinking negatively about his reputation over something that was only regarded as a possibility that, and lets ignore the truth about it for this, he's going to cause people to believe it as a literal fact based on trying to get people to tell the media that 'Well, we don't have evidence!'. THAT alone is going to have the exact oppose effect regardless of truth. The more he does this the less it matters if it's confirmed false, he's going go cause more shit to be flung at him. And that is absolutely beautiful.
:dig: If he just kept his mouth shut for a moment he wouldn't be in this mess.
It's a good thing in the short run if it further destabilizes Trump's chances at staying in office, but in the long term, I'm really alarmed at how much a smarter and more competent politician could've gotten away with in our hyper-partisan political landscape. It feels ominous that somebody smarter might be taking notes at Trump's gaffes to know what to avoid, and what lines they can cross without any retaliation from the spineless GOP, even if Trump's dumbassery (I'm making that a word if it is not already) is shining a prominent spotlight in the shady underbelly of corrupt political connections and collusion.
Keep it up Trump, keep giving Muller more evidence
intel community: hey we're under attack from russia public at large: we're under attack from russia trump WH: what attack? i don't see anything.

I don't think there's much to be learned from Trump, since the mistakes are too obvious.
I'm of the thinking that Tinyhands is either so deeply entrenched in his own ego that he's trying to abuse his ill gotten power to protect it, or he is guilty as shit and trying to use the same power to protect himself. That or it's both In any case, it's a huge problem
I wouldn't be so sure, trump has in a lot of ways been paving the way for more presidents to do things that are "Not strictly against the rules, but you absolutely should not do" by doing precisely those things and on the spineless GoPs watch.
That could be stopped by placing more limitations on what a President should or shouldn't do, but you won't see that kind of legislation being passed without a democrat majority in the house, nor would you see it passed without Republicans doing anything they could to stop it.

He just keeps making it look like he has something to hide whereas if he were actually innocent he'd just do what he can to get the investigation concluded more quickly.
