WASHINGTON — President Obama said Thursday there have been "no winners" in the government shutdown dispute, and lawmakers will have to work hard to regain the trust of Americans.
"The American people are completely fed up with Washington," Obama said during remarks at the White House.
Repeatedly criticizing Congress over the just-ended shutdown and a near-default, Obama said: "At a moment when our economic recovery demands more jobs, more momentum, we've got yet another self-inflicted crisis that set our economy back."
CNN has a list of winners and losers
[sp]They're all losers, but the republicans are bigger losers[/sp]
President Obvious strikes again!
I know one man can't do much without support, but come the fuck on, please stop bickering like babies.
If people are really "fed up", they'd clean the Tea Party out of the House in 2014. But we all know that isn't going to happen.
Yep. You and just about everyone there currently.
Yeah yeah, whatever.
Less feel-good speeches, and more action instead.
This sitting around doing nothing except spew bullshit is exactly why people hate the government.
The president has limited power to actually do anything to fix this. Nor should he.
The problem right now is that the Tea Party Republicans are holding the country hostage via congress. The mainstream Republicans recognize that if they break ties with the tea party, that they will no longer manage to get anything they want done. But if they fail to break ties with the tea party, they effectively have to do all sorts of stupid shit to keep those complete psychopaths happy.
Of course this is exactly what the Republican party deserves. Useless shitbags.

No, they're going to clean the Democrats out instead and elect the Tea Party, because the President is a Democrat and everything bad will be blamed on him. For the record, I'm not hoping this happens, but it seems pretty inevitable with the way US politics seems to work.

The fact that they're still here should tell you that not everyone considers the Tea Party to be the problem.

Just getting rid of the Tea Party isn't going to fix our broken government.
i'm kinda fed up with washington and him in general....
yesterday the WH put out a memo saying nobody can challenge the patriot act and that the supreme court had no authority to rule on the FISA court or the NSA's surveillance programs.
today he's up there bashing congress for being stupid and not doing their job and obeying the rule of law

The problem is conservatives are 'fed up' with the Democrats and liberals are 'fed up' with the Republicans. So people just vote for the same shit politicians from their prefered party, and nothing changes.

No, it just tells me that Tea Party representatives come from artificially drawn hyper-conservative districts populated by crazy people. They could literally burn the Capitol building to the ground and not worry about losing to a Democrat.
