doesn't seem like a bad idea it's not like it was ever a bad concept, it's an interesting concept really
This fanbase will be weird, yadda yadda yadda
Seems like a really bizarre trailer, considering common the "animals behaving like humans" premise is. Like, explaining it the way they've done here makes it seem like anthropomorphic animals is the main draw of the film. That's hardly new or interesting in and of itself. "Normal city but with animals instead" is the setting of like half the kids shows out there.
Sorta reminds me of Chicken Little.
this honestly doesn't have a bad idea, it's interesting. as someone already stated, it's sorta like chicken little.
The thing is though Chicken Little was bad. Let's hope Zootopia doesn't make the same mistakes.
was it though? i dont remember it being particularly bad. bare in mind i haven't seen it in ages.
Kinda wierd how they talk about anthropomorphic characters like it's something new and groundbreaking.
The thing is though Chicken Little was bad. Zootopia might do the same, be decent or good for what it is. won't be anything truly special.
I just want to know which furry headed this project :v: I mean the movie is literally furry fandom: the animated movie. Including a definition on the word anthropomorphic and everything. (looking forward to it)
I'm not going to watch this. They probably won't have walruses in it. So yeah.
was it though? i dont remember it being particularly bad. bare in mind i haven't seen it in ages.
I just can't enjoy Chicken Little as much as I use to as a kid. There are several things I can mention, but the one thing I hated the most about the movie is the father. Fuck the father.
Bring on the yiff.
Disney first did Robin Hood in 1973. I think everyone is familiar enough with animals that walk and talk.

Yeah, I don't get the trailer. As few people already mentioned they are talking about animals acting like humans like it's something new. Disney, did you forget like at least half of your movie history? It's a teaser but some plot info wouldn't hurt.
the trailer is a very blank slate setting the premise of the entire film it's a good, but not new idea. It's nice to see done, but there has to be SOMETHING to this. They've only set the premise so far, nothing more. let me guess, the fox and the rabbit become best friends. Fucking calling it right now.

The only issue I ever had with these sorts of universes is how livestock or non-crop farms work. Are bovines anthro too? Do people feast on the meat of sentient beings?
the fox will murder and eat the rabbit, that's my bet.

There's probably a lot more substance to this movie than they're bothering to show in just a teaser. At least, I'm hoping.
Looks like the usual thing, but they're more in touch with their animal specialities?
Sounds like a furry version of Lupin the 3rd tbh. There's probably a lot more substance to this movie than they're bothering to show in just a teaser. At least, I'm hoping.
like i said, thats usually what happens. while it isn't disney, Inside Out was a great example of how they usually squeeze the most generic parts of the movie out into the trailer, because the actual story of the film is [sp](from my analysis of the foreign trailers and what i've pieced together) about a kid who's emotionally abandoned by her parents and ends up running away in San Francisco. a little bit darker than that trailer led on.[/sp]
Nothing I've seen befur? Well you know, except for literally dozens of other talking animal films. You know, fuck it, I'm going to list the ones I can think of off the top of my head The Jungle Book Brother Bear Home on the Range The Great Mouse Detective Oliver and Company Fox and the Hound The Aristocrats Lady and the Tramp The Rescuers The Rescuers: Down Under Bambi Dumbo The Lion King Madagascar 1,2,3 Sharktale Bee Movie Flushed Away Over the Hedge Antz A Bugs Life Turbo Finding Nemo Fantastic Mr Fox Ratatouille The Secret of Nihm Watership down Ice Age 1, 2, 3, 4 The Land Before Time 1-13 Rio 1, 2 Cats don't dance Rango Chicken Run All of the old Looney Toons Surfs Up An American Tale Animal Farm Dinosaur And just to be even more specific, here are the ones where there are no humans and animals walk on two legs. Robin Hood Chicken Little Kung Fu Panda 1 and 2 The Entire concept of the original Disney characters (Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck ect)
Rough plot was announced last month:
In the film, the modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia, a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve the mystery. The comedy-adventure is directed by Byron Howard (Tangled) and Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph) and co-directed by Jared Bush. Zootopia opens in theaters on March 4, 2016.
Oh jeez.
Man I can't wait for the awesome cosplays.
This and Frozen/Tangled almost seems like Disney trying to return to its roots (This bringing back the whole Robin Hood thing and Frozen bringing back princess/fairy tale musicals)
