A fantastic emotional film with a great soundtrack What do you guys think? Just listen to how amazing the soundtrack is.
I just saw it for the first time last Sunday (I know, guilty) and I loved each second. The end really got a couple of respective tears from me. Oh yes and the soundtrack is amazing!
Absolutely amazing film.
The safe for TV version is hilariously neutered to the point of being unviewable.
One of my all time favorites, Crowe, Scott, Phoenix, Harris, Zimmer, the whole production is a dream team. After I saw this, I really got into Russell Crowe's work as an actor and I gotta say he's pretty impressive. I used to be gay for him but he hasn't done much lately. Here's hoping 'The Next Three Days' will be good. Some of the most ball busting action music ever at 4:00.
Very nice movie.
I love this movie, but whenever I mention it to people I know they have no idea what i'm talking about.
:iia: Saw it three times and slowly forgot about it until I saw a few weeks ago, and it was amazing.
Once in a blue moon production teams; one of Scott's best along with Alien and BHD.
Are you not entertained?
My teacher was working as a camera trainee on this film :D He was also an extra. I'll try to grab a screenshot.

So much inaccuracy though.
So much inaccuracy though.
Indeed. Also why the fuck didn't he go back to his legions instead of running to his family? Get the legions, kill the bastard emperor, go back to your family. [editline]10th November 2010[/editline] Still one of the best movies around, no doubt.
Found my teacher. Guy yelling with sword over his head, to the right of the middle tree. Guy running with spear, far left.

Guy to the right of the middle tree, and guy running to the left with a spear. EDIT: Screenshots with arrows pointing.

Or was that a joke?
guess
The ending gets me every.damn.TIME.
I love this movie Manly tears were shed
It's interesting how they had around 1000 extras during the opening battle, like when both sides just stood there, and when the Romans marched towards the Germans, but when they are actually fighting they had around 50 extras.
I've seen it loads of times but I still watch it EVERYTIME it's on TV. Such a good movie.

Used to love this film, until I had to cannibalise it in screen writing... now unfortently I know too many faults with it. Still an amazing film though.
It's a very emotional film and the score is decent. Also Russell Crowe.
I always loved the scene after they won their supposed slaughter and Crowe shows no respect to the emperor and then tells him his name.

It kills the movie because you notice all the shit they did wrong.
