The DUP has agreed in principle a "confidence and supply" deal to support a Conservative government, it has been announced
Few details yet, however seems it's certainly not a formal coalition.

EDIT:
Looking like no deal has been reached (no better source):

Possibly better source:
Downing Street made an error when it issued a statement saying the DUP had agreed the principles of a deal to back the Conservatives, according to Sky sources.
Christ what a shitshow.

I can't stop laughing.
She will have to whip every single vote to pass anything. All bets are off.
UK FP'ers, keep up to speed on politics and write to your MP often to make them reconsider any bullshit either of these prats try and push through. May only has a majority of, what, three people?

No use for me. My MP exchanged his power to represent his Remain-voting constituency for a spot on the cabinet. Now he votes with May or loses his job. And he still got re-elected, fuck.
Imagine how most Tories are feeling right now... May lost a majority to a visiting Marxist jumper salesman from the 1970's. Does she really expect to continue enjoying absolute support from the rest of her party? Yeah, there might as well be no government at all for the next 5 years.

It's fantastic though, they have no recourse if they don't vote with the party. They can't afford to get rid of people, they don't have the seats. Even with a three line whip, people could vote against the government and the government couldn't do anything.

I'm not even worried anymore.
All it takes is 3-4 Tories to vote against something and it's fucked. This whole thing is hilarious.
"gimme that old time religion, it's good enough for me"
would've been better PR if she'd made a coalition with Skeletor for all this's done. Weak and Wobbly Jelly Belly Theresa May is Low Energy! Sad!
This is an absolute disgrace, there NEEDS to be a vote of no confidence. Conservative voters must surely see this is an undemocratic mess.
I think Boris will be PM within the next 5 years, I can't wait. Boris and Trump.
I think Boris will be PM within the next 5 years, I can't wait. Boris and Trump.
Boris is a Donald Trump that knows what he's doing.
That's either relieving or terrifying, I'm not sure which.
Boris believes he can have the Tory party leadership whenever he wants it, I think. Why would he go for it now when it's more poison than chalice?

Either him or Jacob Rees Mogg, who has his own nanny.

he only knows what he's doing in comparison to the persona he projects, he's still a fucking idiot for backing Leave with no plan for what happened if they actually won. it's exactly the same mistake Cameron and May made and i doubt he's learned from the experience any more than the rest of the party has

If he got to be PM it would mean both the US and UK has stereotypes in office
What exactly does "confidence and supply" mean? As long as the DUP has confidence in May they guarantee votes?
A "confidence and supply" deal is not a full coalition, but an agreement which sees the smaller party support the larger one in key votes such as the budget.
Ah, first time I've heard this term.
We definitely want this man to negotiate Brexit
What's the likelyhood of another election within the next 5 years?
Most likely another election in 2019 after Brexit, the party knows that if they removed May, then whoever is put up is essentially a sacrifice.

Looks like NO DEAL has been reached. Downing Street released the wrong statement. This just gets better.
EDIT: Could someone change the title...
Fuck me hahah the incompetency here is unreal
This train has no brakes

The DUP are in a great position to make demands and by May's history she'll do anything to keep that power, even if it goes directly against the will of the people
I know people who voted Conservative, despite knowing full well it would run completely counter to their best interests, because "May would be better to negotiate with the EU! Corbyn's a joke!".
Now she's getting trashed by the fucking DUP.
Can't wait to see how well the Tories do "against" (because apparently being diplomatic is for pussies!) anyone with real power throughout Europe.
From calling Corbyn a terrorist sympathizer to being ordered around by the DUP because she's power hungry.
Delicious.

Lmfao it's almost as if a Northern Ireland party will be ruling the entire UK at this point
Lmfao it's almost as if a Northern Ireland party will be ruling the entire UK at this point
Especially from our past experiences with hung parliaments here, that's generally how coalition governments go; doesn't matter how little the smaller party is, they have all the power.
