• Windows update turned off Hyperthreading

After updating Windows last night, VirtualBox could suddenly not find more than 2 core in my machine. Same with task manager. Since both had detected 4 cores before, Windows update must've done something that broke it. I have a Lenovo U310 running Windows 8.1, with an i5-3317U. Restoring BIOS and/or Windows installation to factory settings did not do anything.
I don't believe HT is activated bt factory settings. You need to go in your bios settings and turn it on yourself.
