What happens to the integrity of having all the blocks in a grid-like formation?
Awesome, imagine whole castles crumbling
Minecraft would most likely implode if it had physics to do that.
This tech has existed for quite some time now. Don't see the point in the article.

Think activated TNT blocks. They're free to move too, they just not rotate.
A shame the "untouched" blocks don't react to the moving ones :(
Creepers would have a whole new meaning. :eek:
BOOM, see your bricks flying towards other player houses, and bricks smashing other bricks on your house.

That's like asking me if I want to have sex with a hot supermodel with big tits and who's free of any STD's.
I can already see this guy's last name becoming the butt of jokes though.

A man can dream...
Nothing really spectacular about it unless you can make buildings collapse when their foundations are destroyed. This is nothing more than a block world + simple physics.
Couple this with a kinect hack and you could play Godzilla in your own little town, smashing all your creations.

It's possible to do, but it would be a performance cost.
blocks =/= minecraft
Here are some Minecraft physics.

Notch is too lazy to add physics to Minecraft.
Now someone make a minecraft ripoff that is actually being developed by good people, not notch.

They don't remain for very long once they're activated though.
If they did it would destroy the entire set of mechanics behind Minecraft.
