Snyder's comments are interesting for a number of reasons. Without ties to the previous "Superman" films, it's now more likely than ever that Brandon Routh will not have a part to play in the reboot. Further, by focusing on the "early days of Superman," the chances of an older actor like Jon Hamm donning the red-and-blue tights are significantly lessened as well. As for the comment that this film won't "be based on a [particular] comic book," it seems that we can shut down the early speculation that Snyder's reboot would follow in the footsteps of Mark Millar and Leinil Francis Yu's "Birthright."[/quote]

Finally. Now this is reassurance of some creativity. The character will obviously be based on the comics, but it will be made a lot deeper into the psychology and happenings of Superman. Great news :v:

Why are they rebooting it? All they needed to do was make one that didn't suck.

If Batman: Arkham Asylum was made into a movie it would be a freaking badass movie. The Dark Knight felt kind of empty with only Joker and Two Face as villains, if there would be Killer Croc and Scarecrow then that would be fucking cool.

Oh shit, something is actually going to be original. Who let this happen? /sarcasm

I'd quite like a Kingdom Come film.
