• Coloured Lighting?

Where is the best place to purchase coloured LED lighting? I'm looking to brighten up my room a bit. Preferably a UK website. Thanks!
Why don't you just go out and buy them at an electronics store? They sure will cost less than buying them online.
You can use CCFLs Tubes and LED bars meant for computers for damn cheap (Around £3 a pair) - Wire them to any 12V source and you have cheap, bright, lighting: Ebuyer sell this stuff: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/51686 If you want something a bit more sophisticated, How about RGB LED stage lighting in par 56 form? Thomann sell this stuff: http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_led_par_56_alu_schwarz.htm Plenty bright, Only use 16W, Can be any colour you wish. (You can get USB-DMX controllers to control these, Which also allows you to flash your room to music, or blend between colours and such, looks absolutely awesome - Software for this would be "Freestyler" and "DMXcontrol") DIY approach is also an option, Getting nice uniform and diffused light from an array of LEDs is difficult, though.
Your first suggestion sounds like a damn good idea, is there any kind of tutorial on how to set them up?
Well, The easiest solution is to use an old computer power supply (or even a new one) (You might need to extend wires to get them where you want though) - It's just a case of plugging them into the supply then. There's a video tutorial on how to fire up an ATX supply without a computer here: (Ignore that it bangs on about corsair)
