• Trying my tablet out.

I just got a new tablet-PC and i tried it out in Gimp. So i tried messing around. Note that this is work of few minutes. More will come :) Flame: Comet: Fireflies. (don't know why) Tried out tracing, it turned out well IMO. The only thing i traced is the outline. Still WIP. The rest of the body is just made to give you the idea of the body-shape (and yes it is the one from the American Eagle thread) American Eagle: I decided to doodle a bit, and it turned out to be a creepy piece. Also, i felt that if i didn't post it, satan would come after me. A few suggestions and C&C would be great. Because right now i have no idea what to draw :D
Haha, fire. Exactly the first thing I drew with my tablet. ^^
Lines all seem to have the same width all the time.
Yea, i don't like the fire one anymore :D
wow how good are you an artist in the first place? just wondering. does the tablet give you better control or any benefits rather from doing it by hand?
Out of curiosity, which tablet PC did you get? I've been looking for one myself within the $500 price range.
@ Mr_Sun: Not a really good one. Well, i can draw good and stuff, but i don't like pencils. It's like they don't do enough for me :P. I also think about beginning to use airbrush for painting, since i find it very amazing. Also, it took a while to get used to using tablets. I can't draw a straight line yet :D @ Heroms: It's a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC. I think it's very expensive, so i would recommend a normal tablet, but i dunno :D This one costs about $ 4.500.
I doubt you can get a good tablet pc for 500$. Hell, you can barely get a good pc for that. Just get some wacom tablet and it should do.

I'm still a beginner with a tablet and I'm already starting to get the hang of it. Here's something I'm working on. I just cant draw as well with my tablet as with paper. I need the feel and resistance of my pen/pencil on the paper. Tablet just seems too smooth. I also cannot do strait lines to save my life. Also my tablet is a bit small in my opinion.

I thought I could get a little more bang for my buck and find a cheap touchscreen enabled netbook to doodle. The ones I do find for around the $500 price range have terrible reviews and the specs just aren't worth it. But I hear some new ones are coming out so I guess I'll wait and see what those are like. Back on-topic, what you could do to get used to your tablet is find an image and just start tracing it, it's good practice when it comes to drawing lines. Also, don't be afraid to rotate the canvas.
By the way guys, this thread is not about what tablet you should buy, but about the art i made with it. We can disguss tablets and such here, but the main thing is my art. And posting pictures is fine, as long as you do it minimally.
I got an awesome tablet for 70 bucks at staples. Bamboo pen. pretty awesome.
There's not much to discuss, really. You need more practice with the tablet.
Thanks, but there is a lot to disguss. What i should practice in and so on.
Practice everything. Practice drawing.
Haha, fire. Exactly the first thing I drew with my tablet. ^^
Penis on fire? o -o
Penis on fire? o -o
Or torch?
It was supposed to be a hand at first. Then I kept re-working the arm so much that in the end it looked like a log. D: So I made it a torch, kinda failed, but whatever.
Lol dick on fire
New content (american eagle) :D Do you think i should finish it? Also, things to fix: Beak reflection. The space between the eye and the beak. The body (:D)
OH, neat. I see you're using the reference I pointed to for the eagle thread :buddy:
Yes, thanks for that by the way :D
Or torch?
No I'm pretty sure that's a penis. Inadequacy much?
I don't understand how the word "Inadequacy" makes any sense right here?
I don't understand how the word "Inadequacy" makes any sense right here?
Oh it does. When applied liberally to you, like a delicious shitty mud bath. No wait, they feel pretty good I hear. (User was banned for this post ("Trolling" - daijitsu))
Please get out of my thread if you don't have anything useful to say.
I am thoroughly enjoying being able to nip trolls in the butt. He had a little constructive criticism in the other thread, but this was getting nowhere.
Agreed. Any suggestions on what to do with that eagle?
