Hiya all! Lately I've been busy in sketchup making some Star Wars models, one of them is a Bryar pistol/Luger combo. I used a luger model as a base, gutted the model, split it in half and mirrored it. It's mostly finished but there are some bits I feel a bit lacking. Here is one part [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/WRcGnbO.png[/thumb] I'm looking for some thing as a filler or transition for the cooling fins. And then there is the trigger area. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/uOboq5I.png[/thumb] It doesn't look bad but I think it can look a lot better if if had a better transition into the grip. Got any suggestion ? I'd be most glad to hear them, any feedback and such is also welcome ! Here are some other pics. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/nhV8j8E.png[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Utxwzj6.png[/thumb]
Why are you using Sketchup? Its a pretty impressive model for a program made to model buildings and basic furniture.
Sketchup is the only modeling program I know how to use. I used this model as a base : [url]http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=c38232dedfb17b46cba7035647fbacdf[/url] Which accounts for most of the super detailed stuff, so I'm not some kind of Sketchup pro :v:
Try blender, it is easy to use and there are a ton of tutorials for it. Namely Blender cookie.
I keep reading this threads title as Star Wars Ketchup project.
