Source: Link
It’s a line conservatives like to trot-out when trying to soften their extreme anti-abortion stance, and this time it’s former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum’s turn. In an interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan show, Santorum was interviewed rather extensively on his hardline anti-abortion views and at one point was asked what Santorum would advise one of his young daughters should she suffer the misfortune of becoming pregnant after a rape and begged her father for permission to have an abortion. You all know what Santorum’s answer was. Said Santorum “I would do what every father would do-to try and counsel your daughter to do the right thing.” When pressed on whether or not the “right thing” could include having an abortion Santorum replied “You can make the argument that if she doesn’t have this baby, if she kills her child, that too could ruin her life.” Santorum added: “I believe and I think that the right approach is to accept this horribly created, in the sense of rape, but nevertheless, in a very broken way, a gift of human life, and accept what God is giving to you. As you know, in lots of different aspects of our life we have horrible things happening. I can’t think of anything more horrible, but nevertheless we have to make the best out of a bad situation. And that is making the best of a bad situation.” That’s right ladies. Santorum’s advice is to make that lemonade out of life’s lemons, so long as “lemonade” only means forcibly carrying your pregnancy to term.
This guy. Is. Fucking. Insane. That's like telling a Holocaust victims to be happy with how much weight they have lost.
Santorum needs to just die. There I fucking said it.
Why are people still voting for this dick?
I don't think anybody enjoys getting an abortion, but recovering from rape is one of the hardest and most traumatic experiences one can endure, and if there's anything that can help someone recover from that, it's being flat-out malignant to deny them it.
Why are people still voting for this dick?
Because he's christian.
Santorum needs to just die. There I fucking said it.
How's about give up being a politician and stick to his own way of life out of the way of those who don't share his opinion? Don't be silly, killing him won't do anything.
Am I dreaming?
Man the current presidential candidates are such jokes.
How's about give up being a politician and stick to his own way of life out of the way of those who don't share his opinion? Don't be silly, killing him won't do anything.
You expect Santorum to do that? Do you expect any of those jokes to do that? I think not. Too many people believe these ignorant idiots, and they're absolutely loving it.
Hahaha the title holy shit [editline]25th February 2012[/editline]
How's about give up being a politician and stick to his own way of life out of the way of those who don't share his opinion? Santorum...Santorum...His surname sounds like some non-existing body organ or some sort of parasite...hmm Santorum I get it now. He'd love to get a cock.

Because nothing will remind you of rape like carrying around the rapist's offspring for 9 months, undergoing the extraordinarily painful and often traumatic experience of birth, and having to either put that child up for adoption (which is not the dream solution that anti-choicers think it is, and can cause severe mental health issues in its own right) or keeping it for another ~18 years. It's almost as if the life of a living, breathing, dreaming, in-the-flesh woman is more important than that of a fetus, eh Santorum?

Is it just me, or is Santorum actually getting uglier the more stupid things he says?
Man, Seinfeld used to be such a funny guy. I don't know anymore now.
What if Rick Santorum is actually a satirical candidate and is making fun of the current state of the GOP? If only...
Is it just me, or is Santorum actually getting uglier the more stupid things he says?
He certainly keeps his mouth more wide open, soon he'll be able to satisfy everyone at one go.
Because he's christian.
Because he's a right wing Christian. Christians aren't all bad.
Because he's a right wing Christian. Christians aren't all bad.
...but it's only ones like Santorum we hear about. I know they aren't all like this - I have some very good friends who are Christian - but this douche certainly isn't helping their image.
This isn't the first time he's said it either.
Is it just me, or is Santorum actually getting uglier the more stupid things he says?
If people became uglier the stupider the things they said were, I'm decently sure we'd have more than a few vagina-monsters wandering the American political arena :v:

Santorum, go die.
I look at it as, at its very roots, a horrible question of quality versus quantity. Sure, that rape victim could have the baby, and there would be one more human in the world. But would the quality of their life increase? What about the quality of that child's life? It's a question that, if the situation arises, a person should answer for themselves, not force their opinion on others.
yeah this guy can go fuck himself
Abortions aren't great, nobody wants to get an abortion just for fun. It isn't a choice that is made on a whim. It takes courage, and rape victims may see it as their only option. Why would anyone deny that choice? Fuck you, Santorum.
Absolute scumbag.
I'd be happy to make Santorum a rape victim on his own, just invite some of those prostitutes from Bangkok.
I don't think anybody enjoys getting an abortion, but recovering from rape is one of the hardest and most traumatic experiences one can endure, and if there's anything that can help someone recover from that, it's being flat-out malignant to deny them it.
This this this this this this this motherfucking this I remember reading one account from someone who worked at an abortion clinic, and she said that the vast majority of women who came in were sad and saying things like "I'm sorry, I'm not a bad person, but *insert explanation about horrible situation here*". I wish Santorum would just walk into a swamp and die. He's that bad of a person. He doesn't understand a motherfucking thing about the people whose lives he wants to change. Or maybe he does, but he just doesn't care, which is arguably worse.
The foster parents I'm currently living with think this douchebag is a good option for president. :suicide:
