• Bendgate: The Galaxy Note 4 Bends!
After receiving complaints from Apple fans that testing only the iPhone 6 Plus was unfair, he took on the Note 3 and Note 4. While the previous model held up well against the bending pressure of his hands (thanks to an internal chassis and a plastic exterior), the Note 4 (with its metal exterior) bends in the same spot as the iPhone 6 Plus. "I had to put a lot of pressure into it to achieve it [with the Note 4], but even still, the Galaxy Note 3 was completely fine," he says. Samsung has tried to exploit the iPhone 6 Bendgate by releasing its own bending tests and poking fun at its rival; perhaps it will have to rethink that strategy now.
Does it also bend in a pocket though not that it will matter this will be plastered across the web soon
The phone has more structural integrity than the iP6+ no doubt, but if we keep making them thinner and thinner we're going to get to a point where they all bend in our pocket.
This is why you get an aftermarket phone case, greatly improves durability.
This is why you get an aftermarket phone case, greatly improves durability.
And protects from scratches aswell.
That article is quite worthless. Most of today phones are likely to bend if you do it on purpose. The iPhone 6 bend actually is a real issue because it bends by just being in your pockets.
And protects from scratches aswell.
And makes them more comfortable to hold, because it's not like trying to hold a graham cracker flat in your palm.
Your primitive rigid phones are no match for my LG Flex.
Well have you looked at OP's name? It is no surprise they would post something like this.
I'm really not partial to either side here. I don't even have an iPhone, I have a Galaxy lol. I am partial to macs, though.
I can only imagine how many hurr durr Nokia brick fetishists are enjoying the news that comfortably sized phones bend when you try hard as fuck to bend them
This is why you get an aftermarket phone case, greatly improves durability.
Eh. I rather keep it naked, or use a skin to protect from scratches.
The phone has more structural integrity than the iP6+ no doubt, but if we keep making them thinner and thinner we're going to get to a point where they all bend in our pocket.
This whole bending thing seems to be a problem with metal framed phones, not thin phones. I've never even understood the whole rage about metal on phones. The plastic has always worked fine to me and looks fine.
This is why you get an aftermarket phone case, greatly improves durability.
I have never put a case on a phone and have never broken one. Just take care of your shit.
The phone has more structural integrity than the iP6+ no doubt, but if we keep making them thinner and thinner we're going to get to a point where they all bend in our pocket.
This is why we should invent bendable thin phones that are meant to get bent. :v:

If you hold an iphone 6 for example, it's kind of slippery in your hand, makes me think that I would drop it eventually by mistake.
My iphone 4 got run over by a car, with no case on it, and all it got was a few cracks near the back. Your new bendable phones have nothing on the last gen master race.
WHEN WILL THE MADNESS BEND!?
My iphone 4 got run over by a car, with no case on it, and all it got was a few cracks near the back. Your new bendable phones have nothing on the last gen master race.
Try three generations.
Will people stop putting x gate after every inconsistency they find in something holy shit it's gone too far.
This is why you get an aftermarket phone case, greatly improves durability.
And makes your phone look like shit.
My nokia 6263 doesn't bend...
My nokia 6263 doesn't bend...
That's because it's a Nokia. I've literally never heard of Nokia that bent or that broke after a fall. It just doesn't happen.
And makes your phone look like shit.
Not if I have a nice meaty leather wallet-style case that weighs more than the phone itself. Anybody who doesn't cover their phone's screen is asking for trouble.
Biggest scandal since Watergategate
Just get a Blackberry already.
Not if I have a nice meaty leather wallet-style case that weighs more than the phone itself. Anybody who doesn't cover their phone's screen is asking for trouble.
I've been using an ipod 4g since like 2010 and not a scratch on the screen I think people just need to be a little more careful with their 600 dollar phone.
it's not like samsung phones are good anyway; but this is actually understandable because you have to physically exert a lot of stress to do it.
just make the phones fucking cubes already so we can get over this bending shit
And makes your phone look like shit.
Seriously, I've not seen a case that actually keeps the nice lines of the original phone in any way. My Nexus 4 looks awesome without the case on, but I kind of need one as LG cheaped out on the back glass and it scratches really easily (I had it out of the case for a week and it acquired two new scratches, small ones, but it has them now). It looked like he had to exert quite a bit of force to get that to bend, especially compared to the iPhone 6/6+. If it was plastic it probably would have sprung back into shape, but the metal kept it in place. Nothing particularly amazing to see here, it doesn't look easy enough to happen from everyday pocket storage. Bezels, backs and sides are all easier to scratch than the screen glass has been for years.
Just get a Blackberry already.
how good is the web browser on the new one? That's honestly all that I would need to be really good for me to one day change
