Before I start, I just want to say that I do not ask for much, I am very low maintenance. So I am not interested in thousands of dollars of upgrades. And also, I am new when it comes to shit inside of a computer I wish to upgrade a few things to this PC. My PC specs will be at the end First the RAM I read up on what RAM is so I know what it does. My PC has 2 slots for RAM and currently only has 1gb of RAM which it does not even fully utilize. Only about 900mb of that RAM is used. I wish to upgrade it to 4gb of RAM and just wanted to know what to get. 50-80 dollars budget for this one please. Next up I really want to upgrade the graphics card. The one I have now is mediocre and runs my games OK. But I would like a little bit of an upgrade. Once again 50-90 dollar budget. To note, I am humble with the games I play now. Because of my computers low limitations, I play Warcraft 3, Age of empires 2, and Postal 2. I just hopped off the console and am playing PC a lot more I am also going to downgrade the PC to Windows XP, it now has Vista. my pc specs, dont laugh. I believe this is what my computer can handle/ what it is compatible with. My computer is a Compaq Presario SR5130NX For memory- DDR2 PC2 8500, 6400, and 5200 Max Ram- 4gb Slots max- 2gb FOR GRAPHICS Compatible with? PCI express x16 graphics card External connector is 15 hole MORE SPECS 32 bit Runs Vista Processor- AMD 64 Athalon x2 duel core 3800+ 2.00 hz GRAPHICS THAT I HAVE NOW Nvidia GeForce 6150se DAC type- Integrated RAMDAC Current display mode 1600x900 (32bit) (60hz) Post if you have any questions and I want to be able to buy these items on Amazon
First of all, please dear jesus learn to type. My eyes are bleeding from the strain of trying to read your post. Second of all, your machine is a prebuilt ancient relic, there is no hope for it. Prebuilts are designed to have as limited upgrade options as possible and basically be obsolete as they're released to keep customers coming back to spend more money. Any time or money you put into that system is a monumental waste and shouldn't even be bothered with. 4 GB of DDR2 runs about $40-60, and any video card you get is going to be horribly crippled by the old CPU. If you're willing to blow $170 on that ancient relic, save up at least $300-400 and get something far better for your dollar.
You're better off getting a new rig, grab some parts over the web and build one yourself for the best of your budget. If you live in the US try Newegg, if you live in the UK go onto Scan.co.uk's site.
If you don't know how to build a PC, there's plenty of guides available and as for part selection, a lot of people here can help you pick out parts

Uh except that's true. There are little value left in that machine. You're better off building a new one because that is actually more economical than upgrading performance wide and in the long run
