LAS VEGAS — Multiple media outlets are reporting that a portion of Las Vegas Boulevard has been closed Friday night after an officer-involved shooting near the Bellagio.
The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that police confirm shots were fired in front of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino Friday night, near the casino’s famous fountains. The shooting occurred around 8:15 p.m. MT.
KVVU FOX 5 in Las Vegas reports the incident is an officer-involved shooting and that no officers were injured.
North and southbound lanes on Las Vegas Boulevard have been closed between Flamingo Road and Paris Drive.
This is just developing.

"glad you're okay" when really they couldn't care less for the person who shot the video, and just want their video so they can do a news story.
Absolutely disgusting.
And that is why I'm not a broadcast news reporter... Those guys go through hell for nothing.
Newspapers are much more human.
do they at least get paid well?

If $0 is well, then yes. Otherwise, no:

the reporters get paid well, so do the camera operators and everyone else working at the station
the people that give out their stories do not. They get paid basically nothing, they sign a media release waiver that includes terms of no guaranteed compensation
the people that give out their footage might make some money but news agencies use their footage without permission all the time. They usually still credit but once it's broadcasted on every other news channel in the world, good luck trying to get compensation. If you let one of those companies that take viral videos and handle the advertisement and acts as an agent for licensing the footage for TV and other places, then maybe you'll actually get something. If your video is on YouTube, it's often classified as "fair use" when news agencies rip it and use it.
but hey, the reporters are doing their jobs.
Neil Breen, not again!

Ehhhhhh, that really depends. Newsroom reporters make an average of $30k a year. Anchors obviously get paid a lot more.
