Trump was probably trying to criticize abortions initiated after the first trimester. Maybe he meant to say "torn" instead of "born from the womb"? It wouldn't be uncharacteristic for him to have yet another verbal slip-up, after all.
But this kind of railing is par for the course for Trump. During a presidential debate, he criticized Hillary Clinton's support of abortion rights, saying "you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month, on the final day."
Hillary obviously schooled Donald at the time, saying "well that is not what happens in these cases, and using that kind of scare rhetoric is just terribly unfortunate," and went on to show a depth of understanding about the thought and consideration that women go through when making these medical decisions. Sob.
In fact, according to Planned Parenthood and the CDC, less than 1.4 percent of all abortions take place after 21 weeks. Most occur because of medical complications, financial restrictions, and lack of access to or knowledge about pregnancy and abortion during early stages. Hmm, wonder if comprehensive women's medical care could make that better? Too bad Trump is trying to undermine that.

“Right now, a number of state laws allow a baby to be born from his or her mother’s womb in the ninth month. It is wrong. It has to change.”
"you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month, on the final day."
that sounds pretty metal
but more in the 'mental' sense
Watch him double down on this.
Watch him double down on this.
Suddenly his supporters shift from anti-abortion to everyone must get abortions.
"you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month, on the final day."
Even disregarding the really, really stupid flub, I'm pretty sure septic tanks are not as full of shit as Trump is.
This could spark a war with New Zealand
"you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month, on the final day."
Isn't that basically ...birth? Or a cesarean?
Suddenly his supporters shift from anti-abortion to everyone must get abortions.
"I've said it and it's always been true. No. More. Babies. That's it. Hillary is pro baby."

And then the child will be sacrificed to Mother Russia in order to appease Putin in his slumber.
Maybe he just wants babies to stay in the womb for longer?
Like, it wouldn't have hurt if he himself waited in for an extra month or two to finish developing or something.
I can't help but think about how republicans are pro-life all the way to childbirth and then they turn pro-fuckyouunlessyou'rerich
[editline]19th January 2018[/editline]
I don't even wanna joke about it because of how monumentally stupid it is
Clearly he's touting his healthcare plan which in order to reduce the costs will force all childbirths in this country to be through C-section, YOU ASKED FOR THIS LIBERALS!
Or he's an idiot who rambles on without thought.
Right now, a number of state laws - out of the womb in the ninth month, on the final day
I don't even care about the wording slip up because the intent of the statement is fucking heinous and laughing over a goof completely devalues the discussion we need over it
You know what these laws are for? Saving the life of the mother and possibly the child in the event of complications that would kill both. The types of anti-abortion bleeding heart dipshits who use this as some sort of selling point for how awful abortion is literally would rather a mother die a preventable death, not even in an effort to save the baby, instead of surviving to mourn a baby she at that point PROBABLY wanted, and maybe work up the courage to reproduce another day
"I've said it and it's always been true. No. More. Babies. That's it. Hillary is pro baby."
No more babies means less people to house, feed, medicate and pay a wage.
wtf Trump is a genius!!!

Plus younger people are less likely to vote Republican in general so this would help long-term protect Republican political interests.
fucking amazing

This shit is directly out of right wing propaganda.
I think he meant that babies born after the first trimester are being aborted in the US, this is wrong.
But somehow, he has managed to fuck up so badly, that instead he wants to kill all babies.
Ladies and gentleman, the president of the United States.
Anti-children? Finally a policy I can get behind!

Future generations will thank us.
First a german idealist, and now an anti-natalist.
This is something the liberals won't be able to argue against, as there are no valid arguments against anti-natalism.
I guess he wants to ban c-sections. amazing he's so anti-woman
I've done it. I've solved Trump's non-euclidean Rubik's Cube.
He acts like a buffoon to attract the worst of this country and to bring their shitty ideas to light, causing their message to be more vocal, meaning more of the sane people in our country will realize "Wow, this is starting to become a problem...", so we get off our asses to vote him and his ilk out of office, meaning that the people who supported him will either:
1) Realize they were blinded by ambition/narcissism/greed and understand how much of an asshole they were being without somehow realizing it, and vowing to change their efforts for the better, or
2) Remain an asshole and further ostracize themselves from society out of paranoia/fear.
:mindblown:
tbf humanity should just die

get fucked Arty Shoopenwaffer or whatever your name is
Well, childbirth did create Trump, so he might have a point.
When you nut in your side-piece and she wants to keep it so you have to outlaw childbirth
Funny goof, but the intended message behind it is blatantly untrue and completely disgusting. Third trimester abortions are illegal, and should be illegal, except in life-threatening medical emergencies to the mother. Even still, all possible care is made to save the live of both the mother and the child, excepting in cases where the emergency has been caused by the baby dying before birth and it is already too late to save his or her life.
The argument that women who are in their ninth month of pregnancy are walking into Planned Parenthood to have their babies dismembered and ripped out of them on a whim is complete bullshit. Utterly untrue. 100% false. It is a scare story from religious extremists to inspire outraged reactions from ignorant, but well-meaning people.
What makes this especially insidious is that not only is the core message completely untrue, but attacking the availability of abortion using tragic, but medically necessary procedures reserved for extreme and life-threatening emergencies not only endangers access and funding to basic women's healthcare services nationwide, but specifically and directly imperils the lives of women who are suffering from the exact medical conditions that those images depict -- conditions that will kill the mothers if they are unable to receive emergency medical treatment.
Trump's propagandist bullshit here will kill women. And, even though it really shouldn't fucking matter, the women it will kill are women who are not having voluntary abortions, but instead actually wanted to carry their child to term and suffered a late-term miscarriage or other involuntary medical emergency. This propaganda will kill women who are already going through one of the most horrifying and traumatic events in their lives, and it is still being used as right-wing propaganda to trick ignorant, reactionary families into outrage against completely unrelated subjects.
Someone should point out that getting a baby out of the womb on the last day in the 9th month is usually considered a birth not an abortion.
