I just had the mental image of some guy carrying around a whole tower, monitor, etc just to catch a Pikachu.
Having to use a GPS faker kills it for me tho

For the true PC Master Race user!
Does an x86 tablet count as a PC because technically it runs PC games and it could run pokemon go reasonably without GPS faking v:v:v
Without the actual walking around it does take away the main core of the game. I know a lot of people sit on their ass all day long but having to go outside and visit pokestops and gyms is one of the main reasons i like this game
gps spoofers were the scum of the earth in ingress.

If i remember correctly they were very good at holding back gps spoofers though though in the early days the game was plagued by it
people have already been "soft banned" for using gps fakers in Go, and afaik the only way people have been able to successfully get away with it is to keep the fake movement relatively small and subtle to appear believable. There's really not much point.
I kind of like the idea of playing it on the PC. Being able to explore cities you are nowhere near, and won't be going to in awhile is fine.
seeing what other states have is also probably fun when you're just sitting at home and don't feel like going out. But playing pokemon go on the phone and going out during the day is the funnest part about it.
