I don't see much point.
The thing about religion is that it gives people hope and something that they can hold on to when there's no one else.
It gives them a purpose in life and a reason which many people are missing.

This video pretty much says that, but on a more humorous level.
I think many people have no reason to live these days, everyone goes on about how boring live is and how there is nothing to do, i think people need to find a reason to live to fill that gap, be it religious or otherwise.
