Those kids seemed to care that their father died.
I like how they said the Americans WANTED to kill them when it was a mistake and now the US military is somewhat admitting it.
god damn. [editline]08:43PM[/editline]
I like how they said the Americans WANTED to kill them when it was a mistake and now the US military is somewhat admitting it.
also kinda of this
No wonder people hate Americans so much. Edit: Don't worry. I'm also American.
I like how they said the Americans WANTED to kill them when it was a mistake and now the US military is somewhat admitting it.
The gunner kind of did want to kill him. "Pick up that weapon. Please let me shoot."
No wonder people hate Americans so much.
because they make mistakes? [editline]08:48PM[/editline]
The gunner kind of did want to kill him. "Pick up that weapon. Please let me shoot."
but that wasn't a person their family. he wanted to kill a suspected hostile. [editline]08:49PM[/editline] then again, the van was assumed to be hostile also...
because they make mistakes? then again, the van was assumed to be hostile also...
They just wanted the Vandalism Challenge. :smug:
I love how everyone brings this up to US civilians like we had anything to do with it and use it as a reason to hate America, while I could very well hate Germany because of the holocaust, which I don't.

That was their town, not the Americans. Just as gangsters walk the streets in America with guns, these people walk theirs with guns as well. Americans carry guns to look cool, these people carry guns to legitimately protect themselves. Unfortunately for them innocent civilians were murdered by something they didn't see and couldn't protect themselves from. The guy in the video asked a very good question, what did these guys do to the American Army to justify an unprovoked attack? 5 were supposedly carrying AK47s, I couldn't see shit, how could they be so sure? And even if they were, why kill everyone? Why not just the "armed" civilians? The logic makes no sense. This is why the American Army takes so much flak from other countries, because when they fuck up, they fuck up big.
I'm saying the people who blame 100% of the military or the civilians are idiots, not people like you who think the Americans in this situation were the idiots.
But they were. Listen to the radio it sounds like they're playing Modern Warfare 2 for crying out loud! [editline]12:30AM[/editline] War has literally become too much of a video game. Instead of hundreds of your brothers dying beside you, dropping like flies. You fly over a place and play the most realistic FPS you've ever laid eyes on.
But they were. Listen to the radio it sounds like they're playing Modern Warfare 2 for crying out loud!
Because every single American soldier was involved in this :downs:. That is what you're making it sound like. The people who gave permission for it and actually did it were the idiots here. To say all of the American military are idiots because a group of people fucked up badly is just wrong.
It may not be the entire American Army, but you have to admit there is far too much stupidity in their ranks and it shows a lot more than the professional side does.
I'll admit to that, actually.
It may not be the entire American Army, but you have to admit there is far too much stupidity in their ranks and it shows a lot more than the professional side does.
I disagree because the professional side doesn't get enough credit for anything. Imagine if there were more videos popping up of the professional actions of American soldiers in said countries. Why are there not that many? Because it's not "interesting", they have nothing to "scrutinize" against "big bad America". The people hosting them don't have the necessary flak they need to fling shit around. It's totally unfair to the professionals because of the huge bias that circulates.
why kill everyone? Why not just the "armed" civilians? The logic makes no sense.
A 30mm chain gun from at least a mile down range isn't exactly the most accurate weapon in the world. But the other thing's on that Helicopter would have leveled the block. I'll say it again: Helicopter crew fucked up by acting to quickly. Journalists fucked up by carrying weapons (that is if they were) There were American troops nearby so the Apache was probably set on alert to look for any suspicious activity. A big group of men walking with what could be guns could be deamed suspicious. The pilots should have loitered around a while before opening fire to see what they were up to. All in all a sad friendly fucking incident which is bound to happen in modern war where the enemy looks like your friends, and fights among them as well. The pilots should not go without punishment, but I think court marshaling or any jail time would be unnecessary. They should be reprimanded, perhaps grounded for a few months. The family should have all costs and medical bills related to the innocent covered. This is not the way to make friends. People base the entire military off of these isolated innocents and the real professional men and women get scrutinized over it.
I bet those kids hate the people who get chopper gunner on MW2 too.
Things like this happens all the time, back in the Vietnam there was a commander that ordered one of the infantry tanks to shoot at some mobiles located at the coordinates he gave. Turns out the commander gave the wrong coordinates, and as the tank was firing one of the soldiers ran up to the shooter and told him he was killing friendlies. The soldier in the tank broke down after that.
Good, that much closer to the world wanting America out of there. Shit disturbers.
nice. Its like vietnam all over again. People like that pilot dont belong on a batlefield. Someone who controlls a 30 mm chaingun and utters the words "please, let us shoot already" should never be given the right to confirm hostiles and request fire permission. All their commanders hear is "there are guys with guns, can we shoot them?". Of course they were cleared to engage, because noone with common sense ever checked the situation. If you sit a triggerhappy redneck in a cockpit and let him request permission to engage, then this is what happens. What were they looking for anyway? What was their mission? Fly around town and shoot anyone that holds something strange in their hands and then shoot anyone who approaches? At least the fact that someone released the tape to the public shows that there are people with an understanding of human rights left in the army
well were getting nuked soon
No wonder people hate Americans so much.
Way to let the actions of a few generalize your view of an entire country. That is like saying chavs represent the typical behavior of every citizen in the U.K. Or the "brothers" in the city represent the black community as a whole. Please don't let mindless hate control you, it only makes things worse. Whenever I see people make sweeping generalizations like this, I can tell which ones are the people who have no clue what they are talking about. Cause it takes somebody who deliberately has their head up their ass to say that the actions of a few represent the behavior of so many more.
god damn people die in a warzone, deal with it. don't act suspicious and don't be fired upon.

That the professional side is not acknowledged as well as the unprofessional and that the idiots who are recognized more ruin it for what the military really is. Don't disagree with someone and then agree with it in the same post.
god damn people die in a warzone, deal with it. don't act suspicious and don't be fired upon.
thus shooting unarmed civilians is justified hurpadurp.
god damn people die in a warzone, deal with it. don't act suspicious and don't be fired upon.
You're dumb.
god damn people die in a warzone, deal with it. don't act suspicious and don't be fired upon.
Dumbest post today. [editline]07:05PM[/editline]
You're dumb.
holy shity source of avatar please
don't act suspicious
Excuse me, what How exactly do you "not act suspicious" in a warzone?
