Joe's Trench Whistle sounds a little weird. Also I'm glad he did this review, I think I'm gonna wait till more of the DLCs come out and flesh out the game more.
I hope they add a trench mode or something similar. At the moment it looks really a-historic, and that's probably fine with alot of people, but it turns me off.
I hope they add a trench mode or something similar. At the moment it looks really a-historic, and that's probably fine with alot of people, but it turns me off.
Operations do a good job with trench warfare in some campaigns
Operations do a good job with trench warfare in some campaigns
Operations is the closest thing to trench warfare right now, it's incredible how intense it can get to charge at an enemy trench, filled with smoke and gas and clear it out of enemies.
What's trench mode
I'd love something similar to what Verdun has. One team has a certain amount of minutes to cap the enemy trench. If they succeed, they have to attack the second line and so on. If they lose, the other team gets to counterattack.
I actually liked the opening Sketch. A perfect line between the folks, historical or not that enjoy this game despite not being 100% accurate, and the folks that will have none of Dice's shenanigans for SMGs during the war.
Do you think Joe slips a coin in his underwear every time he gets a kill soon the weight and pressure in his pants is too much and he cums hard screaming as coins drop out of the legs of his pants
Do you think Joe slips a coin in his underwear every time he gets a kill soon the weight and pressure in his pants is too much and he cums hard screaming as coins drop out of the legs of his pants
Uhh....

What's up with WW1 and trench jerking? If you want it like Verdunn why not play Verdunn?
What's up with WW1 and trench jerking? If you want it like Verdunn why not play Verdunn?
Because with WWI suddenly everyone is an expert and knows how the war was fought. Newsflash it wasn't all just sitting n a Trench, that period was mainly 1915-1916, before tactical evolution fully took place. 1918, the year the game is obviously representing, was a year of open warfare. And frankly, seeing how Operations shows that push through the trench lines into the open is awesome.
Do you think Joe slips a coin in his underwear every time he gets a kill soon the weight and pressure in his pants is too much and he cums hard screaming as coins drop out of the legs of his pants
Yes.

When I tried the Open beta of this, and getting to Rank 35, it was pretty scarce to find actual teamplay. A lot of people running around and just general mayhem of getting shot in the back. I really loved the sound design, but I know will the pile of DLC they're going to tack onto it.. Plus no hardcore mode yet, I don't think I want to spend a full $80 for just the base game.

Teamplay with pubbies is a challenge.
I hope they add a trench mode or something similar. I'd like one map that had a heavier trench focus, but you can't base a game around it. It's both too claustrophobic (the trenches) and too open (no man's land) to make a good game.

Modes or maps that have their fair share of early war experiences (albeit past the initial shellshock of slaughter) and others that are like the main game with stuff towards the end of the war.
I'm just disappointed already knowing that the multiplayer community is yet again going to be split and split again and split again with each DLC
I'm just disappointed already knowing that the multiplayer community is yet again going to be split and split again and split again with each DLC
It really sucks. It happens with every BF game now. Hardline, even starwars. BF1 is going to be split up, until they release the full package at a cheaper price.. Presumably next year or further. It's also REALLY depressing that the base game + season pass is $200 CAD. That's three days of work assuming you do 8 hours and get paid @ $10/hr.
Why are critics being so generous to this game's single player? He does complain about the length, but what's actually there is not great either in my opinion. A couple of the stories were interesting, but the gameplay is very run of the mill garbage imo. I think it's fine the length it is. TotalBiscuit absolutely lambasted it for being another killathon in complete spite of the opening mission, and lots of people shat on him for it. And yet while it's one of the better campaigns in a long while since Bad Company 1, some people sign its praises while others think it's complete garbage.
The stories in the campaign had their feels, but yeah I agree they wernt all that great. They were too short for me to really care about any of the characters. Also, friends in high places decided to turn yaw off for some fucking reason so I can't fly for shit in it. And I kept being rammed out of the sky by German triplanes. But I'll have to disagree with him about War Pigeons. I was playing it to try and get a medal for it, and I found myself enjoying it quite a lot. It's like Bag Tag from Time splitters. Also I find it weird how there is a pervasive theme throughout the whole game of the Harlem Hell fighters, but you play as them once ever and never see them again, just like hear the one guys voice. Also I don't think TE Lawrence looks like TE Lawrence
Operations do a good job with trench warfare in some campaigns
The first sectors of St Quentins Scar and Ballroom Blitz are :ok:
I would honestly kinda enjoy if they take War Stories into a DLC thing. It's a great premise but right now what they've got feels too short, and a lot seems to be blatant multiplayer preparation.
The prologue in the SP had a great tone, wish they'd kept that tone through the rest. Pretty much all of the war stories were too bombastic for my taste, combined with being too short.
