A statement from the mosque states that they are going to be getting patrolling guards around the mosque. This is the town I'm from and I can promise you all that its a shithole. This mosque has received 3 new sets of windows cause they keep getting smashed and it was fire-bombed twice. Incredible.

There's more to this story than the media have reported on. I live in Redditch. The mosque has been under construction for many many years now, and is still not finished. It has been left for many months with no work being done on it, and it has been a total eyesore. I'm not saying that this is right, just it does look a real mess arround that area and I think the local people (not the EDL involved here) would be a lot more sympathetic if they could get the damn thing looking nice.
