• Software to Display Input From Capture Card?

Is there any better software for displaying input from my Aver Media HD DVR capture card? The software that it comes with is pretty shit. It looks like it was made for the 90's. I'd like to be able to manually set the size of the window (if possible), and have a decent amount of settings to tweak and configure. Anyone have any suggestions?
VLC Media Player, File->Open Capture card or AmCap - http://sourceforge.net/projects/btwincap/files/wdmmiscutils/wdmmiscutils2.73/wdmmiscutils2.73.zip/download
There's a lot of delay when I use VLC and AmCap. Do you know a way of fixing that? I'm trying to play games from my consoles through my PC so I don't have to switch the source of the monitor. There seems to be a 200 ms or so delay between when I press a button, and when it responds on screen. I've tried altering the cache options, which did nothing. Why can't I get the best of both worlds :saddowns: (also 4000'th post :toot:)
Yeah, there's going to be a pretty reasonable delay, it's inevitable. I'd wager that what you're trying to do is not viable. It'd be best to just switch the source of the monitor.
Well I guess I'll just have to stick with Aver Media Center.
