So i have telus high speed, and its fucking slow, it goes from 70-160kb/s and the fastest ive seen was 250kb/s for no reason. Any way i can get this faster?
Call them and ask them about it. Works every time.
If it is a cap, it was written in the terms and conditions that they are allowed to cap your internet if youre using it excessively. Fair usage or something
What speeds are you paying for?
Bo matter how much i use it, its under 160kb/s or right on it. I dont know about the 250kb/s, one day i was downloading TF2 and it magically boosted for that occasion

Im paying for 6 mbps
What's the speed on this? http://cachefly.cachefly.net/10mb.test
That normally maxes out any connection I try, so it's a good benchmark.
If it's still shitty, then you have to deal with dickish, large Canadian ISPs. Enjoy!
Not on my pc right now, in my bed on iphone.
with a 6Mbps you should get 750 KB/s
If you live in BC, Canada. Then you get a 60gb cap

I shaw similar problems before, switching to cable is generally a pretty safe move. DSL isn't great in this country.
