As many as 100 people in Texas are being checked for exposure to Ebola, health officials have said. The list includes "potential or possible contacts" with Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian national diagnosed in Dallas on Tuesday, and "will drop". Four of his relatives have been ordered to stay home while they are watched for signs of the disease, officials say.
Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-29462431
Sounds like they're being proactive about it, which is comforting at least. It's not a list of people already throwing up blood, but people the victim might've been in contact with.
Can they detect Ebola before it becomes symptomatic? Given an incubation period as long as 3 weeks, it may take awhile before symptoms manifest.
Things like this is exactly why Ebola will never be a problem here. We jump on that shit and cut it off. I know why the words "100 people being screened for Ebola" might be terrifying but it's really the best thing to do. Take notes Africa.

This is effective when it is a small pool of potential people so that further infections can be prevented. In Africa this would probably be ineffective owing to the local population thinking it is witchcraft and with all the rioting in quarantine areas.
I don't know if this is late or not but Queens hospital in Oahu is treating someone who is suspected to have Ebola. They are in isolation.

It's really funny. I can't imagine this becoming some apocalyptic virus/scenario, but if it does so be it. (It won't)
some dumbass at my school thinks it's the zombie apocalypse :v:
