[QUOTE]Voters in the US capital backed legalizing marijuana Tuesday, in a symbolic victory for campaigners aiming to build on two states' 2012 decision to allow weed for recreational purposes.
Washington DC approved the measure by 64 percent in favor and 29 percent against, according to partial results posted online, in a move adding the nation's capital to Colorado and Washington state in legalizing pot.
Florida meanwhile appeared to have failed to approve a measure allowing marijuana for medical purposes. Some 57 percent voted in favor, less than the 60 percent required for the the proposal to pass, partial results showed.

Source seems flaky, but the results seem true.
Perhaps drug dealers can go legitimate there now.
They get legalization, yet here in Florida we can't even get medical @ 57% saying yes. I hate this state.
Oh shit I'm so dumb, I thought we would get medical weed in Florida if 50.1% said yes, I went out and voted today just for that. I thought, "well if it comes down to 49.99%, my vote and my wife's vote will give us that .02% needed to pass this shit"
I saw over 50% earlier and got so excited, then saw it needed 60% to pass, got a sinking feeling in my heart. This wasn't even recreational, this was just so cancer/aids/autoimmune patients don't have to deal with nausea all day.
Nothing would be better than to smoke a j in front of capital hill with the one finger salute raised.
My heart is soaring a little.

you'd have to do it on the road infront, the actual hill is federal property

That would make him look real bad considering it's still illegal in the eyes of the Federal Government, which he's currently a key part of.
Legalization or decriminalization? There's a pretty large difference and I've seen countless newssources use the wrong terms :v:

It legalized possession of 2 ounces and small-scale personal cultivation but not commercial sale or public smoking
