• Ralph Pootawn: The Man Who Dared The World To Say "No"

Today a young artist pulled on the very strings of existence to create a piece of work rivaled only by the works of Picaso or DaVinci. I bring forth this centuries Mona Lisa, the art piece known simply as "No". [img_thumb]http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/5371/pootawnbest.jpg[/img_thumb] Enjoy
Genius, visionary, groundbreaking. Just a few names being attributed to the breakthrough success of "No". Critics hail No as the single greatest artistic achievement in a hundred years, easily ousting picasso's then-timeless masterpieces in a paint laden BATTLE TO THE DEATH
too many teeth.
:golfclap:
This art-work is subtle yet has a strong metaphorical meaning. I'm sure you an agree it represents the defiance of the charcter against what is reccomened, by the way he has a pipe. This really shines the light on today's governments, a revoloutionary piece of artwork. Bravo!
is the word no now a meme then ?
Cool and rad and all, but chin is tad too big, nose is at weird angle and teeth are many. Should've used the grid method. Love the calligraphy. [editline]07:02PM[/editline] Could also use some more details and some ccleaning up. Everything is just grey and boring, could use more shadows and highlights. Eyes are undetailed and boring, light source is weird and whatever it is, the pipe is ignoring it.

Holy Shit "No" is broken forever
Very beautiful portrait, his expression and angle truely captures his declination to retreat from all who shoo him and you can see the apathetic mood in his eyes.

His subtle factions present a major contrast to the otherwise stark and straight meaning of the sketch. Lines are remarked in sublimity, yet they present a clear and enthralling impulse, giving feeling that cannot be contained by it's graphite lines. The lighting is pale, yet powerful, vast, yet mundane and dull. It's shadows are soft, yet their scarcity and stylization emanate chaos and disorder. A way of organized chaos is reflected upon the face of this goblin/ogre hybrid. It's humanoid shape simply disturbs, it is realistic upon imaginary boundaries, knowing not of this creature's mishaps, it's hallowing grin, adorned by it's fancy pipe, suggest actions not far from being egregious, and perhaps even evil. It's asymmetry arranged perfectly in a way the observer cannot truly conclude what association to give to this hapless spawn. Unbalance, performed perfectly. The observer then realizes, behind the abstract traces, behind the facade of this grinning devil, a word, a simple word, a human word. Power, reduced to it's lowest exponent. All sensations blend and merge, a war between right and wrong, positivity and negativity take place. Only one word can describe such a convoluted mess of dualities. A word with only one meaning. No.
I'm enjoying the artistic comments greatly, but I have to note that they are mostly total rubbish. And that usage of faction seems disallowed.
