Fuck sake, I understand they want to push VR but can they release a game instead of experiments for a niche that only a handful amount of developers can try?
What "only a handful of developers"? This thing is going to be released for free on steam.

Not everyone has that money to splash on technology that only has a handful of games to play it with.

The whole VR industry is just barely learning to stand on its feet. Wait and see what happens.

You just wont get the full experience without a VR headset

VR is in the same spot as videogames in the 70s-80s. Kind of gimmicky, doesn't know where it wants to go, requires overly expensive and unwieldy hardware to play, but it's still kinda awesome. It has a chance if history repeats itself and VR arcades become mainstream.

I don't understand why $800 is so expensive? Over in Australia you can get that from working a week or two depending on your job and if you're living paycheck to paycheck then you can't afford the High End PC that VR requires, meaning even cheaper VR models still won't be easily affordable

I don't know how popular arcades are these days (I go to one semi-frequently in my town, but I feel like it's a special case) which may put a damper on the opportunity, possibly.
