My computer monitor recently died so I decided to hook the computer up to my TV, this was already a problem because my TV only has a VGA input whereas my computer only as DVI outputs. This was quickly solved with the use of a DVI to VGA converter. However, the image is entirely Dark Red in color. While I can still see everything, it all being red kind of ruins everything. I'm using an ATI Radeon HD 4870 512mb video card, and a 40' Hisense HDTV.

Only Red of the RGB is being send. My guess is broken cable.
I just tried another cable, and now the image is entirely black and white. I'm confused.

Just got it working, had the saturation turned to 0 by mistake. Had to turn it back up and it had colour. By the way, thanks taipan, you were right about the cable.
