Fluorescent Adolescent - BELLBOY [Cover of Arctic Monkeys]

I'm currently in a band that I helped to start and getting gigs with. We've been playing together for around a year now, except for our drummer which we had to change because our previous drummer had to go to Canada to visit his dad for half a year. The past 6 months we've been playing with another drummer, but we haven't kicked out the old since he's comming back in a few days.
Our personal producer/teacher is the man who works with and records for Freak Kitchen and I think it's pretty cool that we got him to record for us.
This is our 2nd recording, and I felt it was ready to be released. Personally I'm satisfied with the outcome, but please tell me your opinion. Here it is;

Edit:
Our producer/teacher worked magic, and enhanced the sound quality a whole lot more. Sounds amazing compared to the "premix", if you will. So here it is! The final version.

P.S; I'm the bassist :v:
That was actually pretty enjoyable, the bassline owns.
I enjoyed the instruments but I wasn't keen on the voice.
I come from a town were a lot of bands ripped off the Artic Monkeys sound and covered and butchered this song, it's refreshing to hear good musicians playing it. It sounds pretty similar to the record, good work.

Thanks man, I'm really satisfied with my bassline too.

People says she have a special singing voice, and I agree that she does. Our teachers says that she's really good at singing Jimi Hendrix, which our guitarist forces us to play
Thanks to you too, we really appreciate it!
You need a new vocalist.
I'm trying to work out whether the vocalist is bad, or if it's just unfortunate that her accent kind of butchers it (as most of the charm comes from alex turners sheffield voice). Still the instrumental part is really nice.
Yeah the vocalist is completely wrong for this song, the accent is what makes 90% of the vocals on this track as far as im concerned.
Other than that it's tight.
I'm grateful for the critics, and to be honest I'm not really digging the accent that much, but it's just the recording, really. When we play live it's better. I'll be sure tell her you guys' words.
Thanks again!

Don't be too harsh! After some re-listens it's most the accent that sounds bad, I'm sure she can sing pretty well.

She only did the accent on this track actually, which is quite confusing. On our first recording* she didn't sing with that accent, and she just recently started doing it.
* See video below, featuring our "old" drummer (crappy greenscreen stuff, yay.);

Feels like Old yellow bricks suits your vocalist a lot more
didnt watch the video, but i like your avatar
She's a lot better in old yellow bricks. I really like the video too. Her accent is still a little bit annoying, though, she just seems a bit nasally and pronounces A's as U's, but hey ho, still awesome.

Thanks again, I haven't talked to her for a while now. Nobody have been able to get in contact with her either... When I see her again, I'll make sure to tell her. Our guitarist and I are playing some BB King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, John Mayer blues stuff currently until she comes back. A lot of fun actually.
Oh, and keep in mind that she's almost 100% danish. Danes tempt to have a hard time pernouncing english words, the danish accent is a bit harsh...

If you really want a source link I'll get it for you :v:
i dont need the sauce just sayin its cool
Updated the OP with our final version of the song, with enhanced sound quality, but no new vocals. Sorry guys... :v:
Awesome, but you already know that because I told you on Steam. :v:
Enhanced sound really makes a difference.
Also it feels like the tone of the rhythm guitar doing the strums in the background of Fluorescent Adolescent is slightly off perhaps?
Sounds nice, though something sounds off about the guitar. It doesn't quite sound I guess "twangy" enough.
I think it's all good, except those songs aren't right for your vocalist.
But, once you start recording songs that sounds right for her, it will be pretty awesome.
your guitarist picks very odd
The vocals weird me out a bit but everything else is awesome.
I haven't hold the original, and the vocalist sounds fucking awesome right now.
If you guys have somewhere i can download this shit that'd be ill
Oh man, it's really well played. But the voice and accent is just making me laugh. I can't take it seriously.
I can sadly conclude that BELLBOY is basicly finished. We won't be playing together for a while, it seems... I wanted to continue the project, but our lead singer is too busy with her education, our guitarist is un-interested in our music and our drummer, who's actually a Metal drummer, have all three dropped out. It wont be BELLBOY with new people, so we're either taking a break or we'll go our own ways. It's rather sad, but it opens up for new possiblities for me, though.
I'm rather interested in more rythmic music and/or funk, and I've been thinking about starting my own solo project and later taking it to more serious matters. It's still rather sad, they are all really cool people, but I guess that's life.

Let's be honest, no one will be missing the vocalist! Sounds promising though man, keep us updated.
