Anyone else find Half-Life somehow increasingly more exciting/unique/hype when you're baked? I know I do, I love playing video games high, and there's just something strange - but cool - about Half-Life :D.
When I used to smoke a lot, I really liked to appreciate the whole concept of the combine. What form does the combine command hierarchy take? Does the precursor race that started the Universal Union even exist anymore? When did it get so out of hand that they became an opportunistic conquering race of synthetic hybrids with a mechanical, relentless approach to domination of worlds that advance far enough to breach the borderworld dimensional boundary?

I like the idea of an almost entirely engineered amalgamation of beings that has achieved inter-dimensional and (likely) interstellar travel, which has grown so ancient and powerful that it seems to have no past that shares a common line of development with younger worlds. I almost envy the combine and resent having to fight them in Half-Life 2, knowing that they are this entity so great that no single event in the universe could wipe them out, and that they stand a real chance of slowly but surely conquering galaxies. I am curious what their final goal might be. Maybe they have discovered that there is no end to reality, that there is no single instance of the universe, and with that knowledge they continue to breach the membrane of dimensions so as to achieve literal immortality across the multiverse.

I do take big interests in the entire concept and ideas of Half-Life, truly the best FPS out there.
There's a very special charm about the first Half-Life that makes it stand out, maybe it's cuz it was first fps game to really have a brilliant realistic story and environments to go with it, or maybe's cuz it still retained that classic run 'n gun quality other fps' had at the time as well, either way if you ask me, HL1 was the best fps to have ever come out of the 90's, also the fact they used a chapter cut from the game as the main demo is awesome as fuck.
haha soupman and I played through most of half-life in sven co-op together and I'm certain I was baked for most of that. It's such a genuinely fun game, good gameplay and well designed levels.
I was drunk / high for that too, half lifes the shit.
plus something about graphics like half life's are awesome

Glad i'm not the only one who thinks half-life is better high...(well not "better", but...I definitely appreciate the game a lot more!)

Tbh I'm not too fond of the weapons in SMOD...I think they are really low resolution/quality.

If you need a quick action fix though and you're really high, it's perfect.
