...Some of the greatest pinball tables were based on licensed properties. Often when a manufacturer created a special new table they’d base it on a popular cultural feature of the times: a movie perhaps, or a band or television show. Their original license to use these properties have long since expired, so when we want to create digital versions of these tables we must research who now owns the rights and negotiate with them. Sometimes the discussions are easy and sometimes they are very difficult. In addition if the table features actors on the backglass or playfield we must secure licenses to use their likenesses (sometimes from their estates if they are deceased). Some table also featured popular music of the times that we must secure composition and performance licenses to. It can be a daunting task!...

...The licenses will cost a daunting $55,000 (and that’s just for the licenses- we’ll cover all of the development expenses ourselves). If we can raise enough money through Kickstarter to cover the cost of the licenses, we’ll be able to digitize the Twilight Zone and preserve one of the greatest pinball tables of all time. If we don't reach our goal no credit cards will be charged, but if we raise more then the goal we’ll be able to digitize other licensed tables as well (like Star Trek: The Next Generation!)
I just recently purchased Pinball Arcade on PSN and was wondering when new tables would show up, and I remember loving the Twilight Zone table, though at that age probably more so because it was the Twilight Zone then appreciating the table itself. Hopefully if this does well, maybe we'll get more licensed pinball tables in the future. (Tales From The Crypt Table please).
I don't think this is news, there are tons of kickstarters each day

I guess I let the sentimentality get to me. Or maybe I should have posted to gaming (If a Mod could move it, that would be cool).
At first i thought they were building a actual production line of pinball tables or something until i opened the thread :v:.
I don't think ill donate to this kickstarter though, There's enough pinball games as is.
i think the only twilight zone episode i watched was the Guns episode where guns don't kill people, people do.
i really need to watch more twilight zone. I love sci-fi stuff like that. wonder if it's on netflix.

Last I checked, all of the original episodes were on Netflix. There's so many good episodes, it's definitely worth watching them.
I actually still have a Twilight zone pinball table in storage. The picture for it is the top one in the OP.
I'd love to have a pinball machine in the house but there's no god damn room for it.
