Congratulations on IE10: from Mozilla with cake

Back when Firefox 2 was released (six years ago this week!), the Internet Explorer team started a friendly tradition of sending Mozilla a cake as congratulations. This continued for Firefox 3 and Firefox 4. After Firefox switched from major releases once or twice a year to incremental updates every six weeks, they sent us a cupcake for the next few updates instead. :)
I thought it would be fun to revive the tradition by ordering a cake for the IE team for the IE10 release today. Here it is right after I picked it up from Baked Custom Cakes, with a Firefox logo in painted fondant:

Fellow Mozilla developer Eitan Isaacson drove with my wife Sarah and me to Microsoft Building 50 in Redmond, where program manager Jacob Rossi helped us deliver the cake to a group of IE team members:

The IE team posted their thanks through their official Twitter account. (As you can see from their picture, the bottom border of the cake was slightly restyled in transit.) Just 30 minutes later, Michael Bolan tweeted that the cake was gone. I hear the sugary Firefox logo was eaten soon after.
So congratulations to the Internet Explorer team on your latest release, and we hope you enjoyed the cake!
I think it's really cool that these 2 competitors are really cool with eachtother like this.
Also, in the last paragraph when they were talking about the bottom border getting restyled, this is what they were talking about:

The tweet that follows is... "border-bottom: none;" LOL
Microsoft is better at cakes.
Headline in 3 days:
Internet Explorer team mysteriously dies from Risen poisoning.
Seems like passive aggressive shade to me, and I like it.
They realized IE was back on the rise so they poisoned the cake.

The Firefox joint clearly has a more aesthetic typeface.
I think it's pretty cool how in the computer industry (with the exception of Apple), despite how heavy competition might be, they're still friendly to each other. Examples being this, and maybe AMD/Intel. I also hear a good amount of stuff about Microsoft related to Linux.
Of course Fire Fox congratulates IE. How else would people download their browser from a new computer?

ATI and Nvidia also like to make a sport out of it
I hope they have food-tasters to protect the IE team from harmful things slipped into gifted foods
like laxatives
IE is actually decent browser now, on par with FF and chrome but it's hard to shake off a bad reputation.

Still disappointing how it lacks spell check and "open image in new tab/copy image url" in the right click menu, two very basic features
But other than that, it stands perfectly well.

The IE cake is all cursive and fancy pantsy whereas the firefox one looks like they printed it out :v:

A 3D printer with icing sugar doesn't sound too far fetched, just icing sugar and water
aww thats cute
The Internet Explorer cake is filled with bugs.
I find it hilarious the IE looks poor and the Firefox one looks professional.

gummy worms more like
that's a tasty looking cake

The IE one seems more about the words where Firefox filled as much of the cake as possible with their logo.

Actually the shitty FireFox cake has the horrible sugar logo thing ontop that nobody eats.
The IE cake has actual icing and such, I'd go for the IE cake.

Wow, you actually managed to get fanboyism into a thread about cake?
Oh, and for future reference, the logo on the FF cake is made from icing. It's not that paper thing sugar shit you described, you can actually get icing to work like that, it's a very flexible thing. Looks fairly tasty, that applies to both of them.
It's quite nice to receive cake for releasing browser updates I think, more motivation :v:

You can do it through CMD.
I prefer the IE team's cake because it's obviously made by hand, whereas Firefox seems just too clean and sterile, is all of it even made by hand?

I use Chrome, no fanboyism here!

It looks like those extremely hard and brittle candy things that they shove ontop of cakes because they can't be bothered to make it out of icing. So they had to take it off the cake because nobody would eat it unlike the decorative icing ontop of the IE cakes.
See, you can eat this thing whole unlike the Firefox cake:

When I installed Windows 8 on my machine, I downloaded the chrome installer on a USB stick beforehand and then just installed Chrome when I was finished installing Windows. Still haven't used IE yet.
border-bottom is more like dotted rgba(33,83,115,50)
