Now living in America I see this a lot. People everyday living a life knowing nothing about about their heritage and culture. They adopt others and become like them. I'm not saying its bad not at all. I think culture plays a big part in a person's identity. I think its great when I met others and they tell me about their customs, foods they eat, language, and other things like that. Maybe I find culture tooo important ,but whats your opinion?
ehh sorta

I mean I have Jewish heritage but we don't really make a big deal out of it.
There's culture in America? How long have you people been withholding this information from me!
I am from whales.
My family owned a tabacoo shop
and a distillery.
and invented
the enter
key
if you celebrate culture too much then you become isolated from the rest of your country, and so therefore you have racism, but if you don't value heritage at all, you may seem like a dick to your homeland (but who cares, because there is a reason you left right?)
I'm rich with culture. French, Hawaiian, Portuguese. It's all good, baby.
On a bio of my family history they were protectors of the royal king in scotland.
So i mean alot

Any culture in America is slowly dying (People becoming "Americanized"). My "culture" (Spanish culture, whatever that actually is) is slowly dying. Honestly, I hate the dancing and the music (But, sadly, I actually know how to dance Merengue/Bachata...). As an individual, I cannot change this course of events. The "Spanish" sense of community and family will always be the default sense, as just slapping "Spanish" on it doesn't make it special in any way. I will follow that way when I grow up and have a family of my own. My culture, if it even means anything, has no value to me whatsoever. I did not grow up with it being expressed to me, so it's without a face. It is without meaning.
Ehh, America doesn't really have culture like other countries do.
Anyone who says Americans don't have culture is wrong.
Canada hardly has its own culture anymore, there are so many immigrants now.

So it has a mix of diverse culture. It has more culture.

I think the same could be said for America.

I'd say Canada has a pretty strong culture, actually.
Or at least in some parts, like Quebec, Cape Breton, Newfoundland seem to have strong culture, and I would assume the Territories do as well
America really does have a culture.
Theres the stereotype that Americans are fat and lazy, if this is true, that is part of the culture. Culture doesn't mean they form tribes and dance around a fire.

what if i set fire to an enemy home and then dance around with glee?
The only time I ever talk about my German/Scottish heritage is when talking about my skin tone/hairy legs.

Yeah, my Irish heritage comes up all the time since I'm ugly and drunk
$5.99.
I like celebrating and showing off my heritage/culture in some way. My family mostly celebrates my Ukrainian heritage, but I'm more Scottish and a tad Irish. I take pride in all my heritages and I'm happy to be part of each one. I get my drawing and crafting skills from my moms Ukrainian side, and my large stature and strength from my dads Scottish side, with a bit of Irish. I don't celebrate them all he time, I'm just happy I have them in me in a odd sort of way.

that's still culture genius
if there's civilization there's culture whether you like it or not.
Meh, I find it fun to embrace alot of my Viking heritage and thats bout it.
Culture is stupid, people keep trying to embrace their heritage and be proud of who they are, but what's the point of being proud of something you have no control over? That's only used by the ignorant who have done nothing to be proud of so they must resort to pride in the accomplishments of others just because they share a geographic location.
Cultures start somewhere. You have to think about how they go over the years. Our modern day ways right now may just be cherished in the future.
Absolutely nothing.
I personally believe the more cultural you are, the more you respect your nations culture and the culture of the others, the better person you are. Recently finding out that you guys don't even take pride in your country and have little or no nationalism makes my eyes bleed.
You people have a very elitist definition of culture.

My heritage includes people who: killed Jews, lead the Confederacy and got their asses kicked by England. Should I be proud at all?

Multiculturalism itself is a major part of our culture

Omit the parts you don't like :v: really though its not like everyone is innocent. Im sure there is something interesting about your culture. I know food and language are some of the heavy hitters.
I find it incredibly important. Scottish culture is something very special to me. I've grown up around it, and would hate to see any of our traditions disappear.
