Yeah, I read through the GD rules. No, this isn't in violation of any of them For some reason I get really shy and nervous for absolutely no reason. For example, I was in science today and I needed a calculator. The girl next to me was using a calculator and I got really nervous asking for it. It's annoying as fuck because it inhibits my "man" function to just go out and do crazy shit. Does anyone else feel like this/have a solution? Good lord it's for no reason.
I get nervous when I ask people I don't know for things too, especially (hot) girls.
You're just shy.. plenty of people are shy.
Your just a shy kid. Go against that instinct.

You'll grow out of it after awhile. Trust me, it's no biggie.
Just stare at her until she notices that you are staring, then glance at the calculator and back at her. Repeat until she gets it, no words needed.
Your just a shy kid. Go against that insinct.
This too, but know when to listen to it. It's not entirely useless.
It's just anxiety. You'll grow out of it after awhile. Trust me, it's no biggie.
+1 thanks man.
Dude I know what you mean. I'm the same way especially when it comes to the ladies.
In determining the cause of the shyness, you should eliminate any extra factors. As such, you should borrow a calculator from a male and have a friend analyze your reaction. It may be just the girl factor. If not, then experiment around see if you can pinpoint the solution. Or, of course, it could just be in your personality to not open up to strangers.
Mine is a little worse. I sweat.. like underarm sweat. Yeah, it can be embarrassing at times.
You'll grow out of it. Just be a healthy person by being a sociable as you can. Start by asking cashiers how their days have been when you're at a supermarket, or talk to people in class, etc.
Mine is a little worse. I sweat.. like underarm sweat. Yeah, it can be embarrassing at times.
That must suck ass. The only thing worse would be popping a stiffy when you get nervous
it's even worse when you start stuttering when you do say something
Just stare at her until she notices that you are staring, then glance at the calculator and back at her. Repeat until she gets it, no words needed.
I do that. Most of the time, the girl looks at me and gives me a sexy smile that's obviously is telling me to follow her after school to her place. Most of the time I get injured in some way. Actually all the time. I got to use the calculator though.
Just realize that we are all basically the same, and in the end, nothing really matters. We're all in this together, so why not cooperate and live peacefully?
I'm shy like that too. I especially hate it when they say, "what?" and you are forced to repeat the question, making you more uncomfortable...
Just stare at her until she notices that you are staring, then glance at the calculator and back at her. Repeat until she gets it, no words needed.
I lol'd.
Just realize that we are all basically the same, and in the end, nothing really matters. We're all in this together, so why not cooperate and live peacefully?
Because in school everyone that's not your friend is an asshole to you.
It's just anxiety. You'll grow out of it after awhile. Trust me, it's no biggie.
Lol k
But yeah I'm pretty shy too. I just try to break out of it every now and then. You just have to think: What's the worst they're gonna say? No? If so, then just ask someone else. No big deal.
We're all human. Some just look better. Also, girls always like to flaunt their shit around, they like controlling guys, It's a power over people thing. They like making you jump when they tell you to.
I hate it when people say: "Just do it". It's not that fucking easy. If it was, don't you think we would have done it by now?
It actually is 'that fucking easy.' You are not being physically restrained in any way, the problem is only inside your head. Stop thinking about it.
be more nervy and less socially inept yes, yes, I am very dumb. just stay in your shell, is this good enough advice for you?
Because in school everyone that's not your friend is an asshole to you.
No, they are neutral. You can be friends with almost anyone, so what's stopping you from being nice and making friends?
Usually when I'm alone I'm a tad bit shy. Depends on my mood, but generally I'm pretty outgoing and loud :v: What I usually do is I think about what she'd be thinking in her mind: "Hmm... Kid wants a calculator" not "What the fuck this kid is nervous as fuck I'd better avoid him FOREVER"
I used to have this, then my mind started to see nothing but the flaws in people. Now I have no reason to be shy. Help me. :geno:
be more nervy and less socially inept
I'm not socially inept, I'm usually very good with adults and such. I CAN however make sexist jokes at the girl that sits across from me in another class. That doesn't bother me at all
I used to be shy before college. Working as a food employee and having to interact with customers on a constant and daily basis fixed the shyness factor real quick for me.
I used to be like this. Until I went to this music camp. Arrowbear. Greatest place ever. :v:
