A Brisbane student suspended for throwing a sandwich at the prime minister today has denied he was behind the prank.
Marsden State High School student Kyle Thomson, 16, was suspended today for 15 days after a teacher claimed to have witnessed him throwing the sandwich.
But Kyle told Nine News he was "not the one that threw the sandwich," and did not deserve punishment.
"I hit the sandwich out of the kid's hands because he threw it and there was another one so I hit it out of his hand," he said.
Asked why someone would want to throw something at the prime minister he said, "Maybe because no one likes her."
An understandable reason.

can't argue with that logic
Clearly a plot so complex as this, a mere man could not create it. This is the work of either a super genius or a rogue AI, possibly both.
Don't ruuun, it's just ham!
I think we should look at the theory that there was a second sandwich thrower placed by the liberals.

Damn.
Obviously he was concerned with Ms. Gillards nutritional intake and sought to remedy it with rapid sandwich deployment
Probably the smartest thing someone from Queensland has ever done.

I'm sure there are smarter queenslanders. But then again the majority of this state comprises of conservatives and unionists. Oh and don't forget Bob Katter!
She can 'Lend' my government laptop if she comes to my school. Come here you forest fire, feel the burn.
I don't understand all the Gillard hate, she's a thousand times better than Abbot.

True, but every politician is a wanker.

This kind of reminds me of when someone pied Jean Chretien. Assassination via foodstuffs!

I agree with you, but that's only because Abbott is an absolute shithead. The libs are definitely in a better position than the labour party right now, it's just that Abbott happen to be representing the libs. Sometimes I think the Liberal party voted Abbott in just to see if they could get the worse speaker and least charismatic guy and actually win an election with him.

If they kicked Abbott and went with Turnbull in they'd win by a fucking landslide.
