"There are renewed efforts by senator Leahy to reintroduce the COICA bill this year, which will allow to censor on demand any website the entertainment industry of the United States dislike. Practices like this are common in countries like Iran or China, the difference here is that the site they choose to target will be censored in the whole world."
That takes the mick... first secret society's, then government secrets... one day well be as bad as all the 3rd world country's, it'll be you don't like what we like and we'll kill you. god-dammit if they has it there way they's block forums for comments like this they would! the only time we get anything... ANY-KIND of information is when someone upholds a freedom of information argument, and then, we have to take there word that whats released is all of it. And lets be honest, we've all reached that point in life and evolution and development that they have so much more which we all have no clue about... and it's ridiculous. So what do you view on government secrets? And particularly on this quote? because it makes one hell of an interesting discussion.
A single senator is trying to push a bill that apparently died on the floor, I doubt it'll pass the second time around.
A fair point, but to think a single senator propose's something like this, well... Could it be called a disappointment to everything the US apparently stands for?
