Title says all. First of all: Sorry for the sources, only have german ones.
Poland stopped the ratifying process of ACTA because of the demonstrations which took place.

But it didn't stop here - Czech Republic pulled up and stopped the process as well! The Prime Minister thinks that the actual knowledge isn't enough and the defense of civil rights is to be secured first.

Slovakia followed right after.

But now Latvia took position against ACTA, too! Ain't that pretty? Indeed it is. Minister for economic affairs, Daniels Pavluts, said he will not hand the document to the parliament in Riga - so they can't vote on it.

But this doesn't stop here. The 11th of February is dated to for over 40 cities which will protest against ACTA in all over Europe! Hopefully this will turn even more countries to turn the side.

Edit: Yep, made small mistakes in the title, sorry for that.

and norway because they're rich bastards
As long as protests occur in good numbers in the major cities - that's a pretty clear message.

"Did its share"? This is an ongoing fight that needs constant participation on all fronts. There's no shares here. We fight till either we or these crazy bills are dead.
FYI - This happened in Czech Republic, few days before the ratification of ACTA got stopped:
Anonymous hacked webpage of the ODS (our rightmost party) and added a rather modest and polite warning about ACTA in, in place of the frontpage (you could continue on the original site, so it didn't even do any damage). ODS leader laughed at the act, stating that they created good advertisement for them.
They hacked them again and released personal info of all members of ODS.
Slovakia :toot:
Hopefully Estonia will follow them.
Right, Ansip?
RIGHT?

i dont know, he called people scared of acta tinfoil hat wearing lunatics.
Ansip was a faggot with ACTA.
ACTA IS GOOD, BLESS ACTA! is what he said pretty much.

He was never good in the first place.
Wonderful.
It's also a proof that Anonymous is sometimes more than just a DDOSing group of kids.
On the protest, half of the people had paper anonymous masks, which were given away for free.
Most people doesn't understand what anonymous is. Its not a closed group of the same people, always doing the same things.
Its just a name that the world knows already, something for small individuals do hide under, so to say. It really depends on simply the cast of certain group, at a certain moment, fighting for a certain cause.
And for the love of god, don't relate Anonymous with 4chan.
To be honest the issue here (CZ) with the parliament stopping the ratification is that they are using old versions and claiming it gives rights which are no logner present in the agreement. (checking laptops and similar)
Slowakia sounds like the final evolution of slowpoke
I might go to a protest.

Didn't America sign it already?
This is great news.
UPDATE!
Germany will not sign ACTA - for now. If there will be more pressure on the governments this will surely stay like this.

In Poland, the biggest party right now lost 10% of it's supporters. That's probably why they aren't gonna pass this.
Officially they pretty much accepted all arguments against acta, but the truth is that they don't give a fuck whether it infringes on people's rights. We saw them change their mind day by day. It's all about the votes.
Europe, where governments listen to their people.

To bad we can't get ACTA unsigned in America.
