An electronic billboard has been erected in Idaho that compares President Obama to James Holmes, the man who has been charged with 12 counts of murder for the Aurora, Colorado shooting.
The political poster juxtaposes photos of Holmes and Obama and respectively reads, "Kills 12 in a movie theater with assault rifle, everyone freaks out...Kills thousands with foreign policy, wins Nobel Peace Prize."
According to the Idaho Statesman, the billboard is sponsored by The Ralph Smeed Foundation, which is made up of supporters of the late libertarian Idaho activist of the same name.
Smeed follower Maurice Clements explained to the newspaper, "We’re all outraged over that killing in Aurora, Colo., but we’re not outraged over the boys killed in Afghanistan." Although he clarifies, "We're not saying that Obama is a lunatic."
Stay classy.
Silly Idaho, nobody remembers you
So these are just some libertarian idiots not even affiliated with Romney.
My mom (via Alex Jones) believes the shooting was staged by the government
This doesn't make any sense because the people who went on the frontlines signed a paper to do it.
I wonder when are they gonna call Obama a nazi space alien comunist that sucks brains.

You act like they haven't already
I think what's more sickening is how much the media and things such as this have essentially turned James Holmes into a celebrity.
I drove by this a few weeks ago but only caught the part with Holmes before it changed to the next picture.
It's funny because a portrait of Romney would be more accurate if you're gonna go on foreign policy...

Which is probably exactly what he wanted.
That's rich. By Idaho's standards, Bush killed hundreds of thousands.

Romney also isn't the president(We can be thankful for that)
Are they really using memes to attack Obama? That looks like a cheap quickmeme-type thing.
I saw that same picture on Facebook...
LOLbertarians

I didn't know you had to sign a paper to get killed by a drone strike.
What kind of fallacy would this be?
technically speaking its true but its idiotic because its implying other candidates would do anything differently.
well the obama administration allows dronekilling of anyone suspected of being a terrorist (whatever that is)
but they're brown so who gives a fuck, right
So these are just some libertarian idiots not even affiliated with Romney.
yeah after the insanely low federal funds rate creates (another) bubble through bullish investment you might not think they're idiots but im sure you know nothing about these things so you should shut the fuck up
Is that
Is that impact font?
Did they seriously do this in reddit's "meme" format?
Really?
technically speaking its true but its idiotic because its implying other candidates would do anything differently.
What? That's like saying we shouldn't criticize Bush for murdering people. It's absolutely ridiculous to think that any criticism levied against a president is implying that another candidate is better.

You'd think Romney would be a better target since his recent comments suggest support for potential war with Iran.
fuck your dumb ratings, as if any of you stupid fucking idiots have the slightest clue of what monetary policy is
it really pisses me off because although it is actually the smartest thing that has been said in the entire thread it gets rated dumb because it isnt in accordance with the usual liberal circlejerk and nobody tells me why im wrong because nobody on fp understands economics but they rate dumb anyway :(

Well it gets that way when the only other choice is Romnut.
If we still had Ron Paul and/or Gary Johnson to choose from then I'd say you're right.
I don't want Romney OR Obama as president, but since our political system hinges on who has the most money that's all the choice we're gonna get.
the dumb ratings make me want to express opinions that arent my own just to troll you
Good for you. The reason why I personally just rated you dumb is because of your "brown people" statement. Not only is it just a over-simplification of the situation it is rather insulting.
Edit: Your edit is not helping the situation.

But it is true, though. A lot of innocent people are dying but nobody gives a fuck because they're brown.
actually i dont give a fuck i knew it was going to be rated dumb when i posted it

Perhaps why Americans care more about Holmes right now is because that it was the worst random shooting in all of American history? People DO care about the deaths but unless you can think of a better alternative then what else is there to do then to continue what they doing. If America would suddenly leave do you think insurgents would just go ahead and say, "oh look they left, lets forgive them all and go on with our normal lives?"

But that doesn't exempt them from criticism. When you say "Well, Obama is still better than Romney..." you are might be right, but you are also endorsing our two-party plutocracy. Yea, if I had to choose between Obama and Romney, I would vote Obama. However, I am not forced to choose those two, I can still send in a ballot that has "fuck you" written on it.

Most people do not like or even want the wars the US has gotten America into in the Middle East, but nothing we say or do is going to change the way things currently are, we're all just plebs to the politicians, only here to work ourselves to death for their benefit. There is no poll that says "End the war? Y/N" for us to vote on.
