There's so little information that I figured making a thread in GGD wasn't worth it, so here you go!

game over man
Sorry SEGA, you blew it with AVP.
Looks interesting. Does anybody know who's directing it?

Okay Mr. 4chan
Gearbox is developing this game, should be good.
P.S: Gearbox helped developing:Opposing Force , Half Life: Blue Shift, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero , Half-Life, Halo:CE and some other games.
Yay, i've been waiting for something new on this game.
God this has been in development for over 5 years now.
I'm expecting nothing but disappointments when it is actually released.

yeah, because games that have had long development periods are usually disappointing
half life 2? dragon age? never heard of em
Yes please.
Have been waiting for this for ever.
I got really excited for a second because I thought it was going to be a movie. I even squeaked a little bit.
A game centered completely around the Colonial Marines has the potential for some absolutely pant shitting moments. I loved the Marine campaign in AvP2, there should have been more parts where it's not just you, lost and alone, wandering from room to room after once again being separated from the rest of the unit though.
I get that it's meant to make stuff scarier but I wanna fuck shit up with my squad too.
O, they're finally going ahead with this after cancelling and continuing it like 10 times, and then saying "Well it's off for good guys we're gonna replace it with AvP herp"?
See, I wanted this game really bad. I really hope they do a damn good job on this. It has potential, but I agree with Ed.
I was looking forward to this FAR more than AVP, so pissed the pushed that shit out first. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes.
I have hopes for this game.
It was cancelled
It was cancelled
This trailer was released 3 days ago you dolt, it's back on track.
Oh my god are you saying it's not cancelled?
BTW guys this is the good Aliens game. They were making AVP and this one and this one was the better one but then it got cancelled. I guess it's back again.
Cautiously optimistic. Not that it's Gearbox but that Sega is publisher, who knows what kind of shit they'll try to pull.
I hope the gameplay is nothing like AVP (new one), not that it's bad, it just doesn't work so well

God, i hated AVP, it was so BORING. Most of the levels as an alien were just puzzles, the predator was all about stealth, and the marine was just about killing both of them through the damn campaign. The multiplayer was completely boring too, no communication in chat, and the team work was horrid. I loved the graphics though, but it seemed apparently too much for my computer. The gameplay was tricky too, along with being an alien.
Somehow i got a feeling its going to be dlc for AVP.
Holy shit, it's back!
Hey wait, it's actually from 2008.
As long as I can crouch in this one. So fucking annoying when games restrict your movement. Playing as the Alien was fun as hell though. Just hope they use a bit more imagination in this one and sort out the balance issues better for multiplayer.
Best Idea in my opinion for this type of game would make it kind of like System Shock mixed with Dead Rising, where you can free roam around the ship, picking up guns/ammo and saving soldiers and scientists etc. and to spice things up a bit maybe the aliens triggered a fail safe on the ship making it want to kill everything, so then you can battle androids as well as aliens so its not always *hiss* pew pew.. Just my two cents. Just to break away from the normal go from A to B that every fps has these days. But alas, my dream will never come true...
:smith:
Terrible.
Why would the eggs be dangerous when they're not even near them and they have guns?
Are colonial marines just the most useless armed force in the universe or what because in Aliens they pretty much just killed themselves too which was the only reason the aliens were any threat.
This video is old, i saw this early this year.

I thought Dragon Age was shit, they didn't talk at all, it was so boring.

Facehuggers are fast and the last time i checked Humans don't have the reaction time to dodge them, even if they had shot them mid-air, if the Facehugger didn't kill you then the acid from them would.
They're not even near them. In Alien the guy was basically hunched over the egg, and unarmed. This makes no sense.

They have very powerful legs. In Aliens, one jumps nearly across the room at Ripley.
GG missing the point.

I think they actually learned from the AvP release. I have high expectations for this game, and I'm actually confident that they'll deliver. The dev team for this game was probably pissed when their project was pushed aside for AvP.
