Saw something similar a while back. Whilst it's all cool and stuff, I prefer my screen which I will be able to see whilst my finger is trying to interact with it, as well as being able to hold something real and weighted.
I think I'll stick to keyboards and monitors thank you very much.
Wont replace computers
Ehh, needs to be much improved from there. plus I like the way monitor LOOK. the display on my laptop looks so much better and while it's cool, right now i don't see it killing off either except on mobile devices, especially monitors.
Also won't this be hard to use outside on a sunny day :v:

I actually REALLY like this because you can basically choose your favorite texture and make it your keyboard!
All input system without force feedback (keys depressing/clacking) are doomed to fail.

Agreed, without feedback, if you're touch typing and accidentally shift your arms even a little you'll be typing out a page of gibberish. But this could be interesting if some sort of implant (or less drastically a glove) was made to provide tactile sensation. Then we'll truly be in the future!

I can't stand typing on anything that isn't a physical keyboard.
Even with 'haptic feedback' it's just not the same.
Sorry but no, I like my keyboards with force feedback, I have my whole keyboard memorized by touch, I know where any key is by simply placing my hand on the keyboard, with this shit I'd need to look down every minute, not to mention I wouldn't be able to rest my fingers on the keyboard.
It is awesome but it will not replace computer keyboards.

I remember watching this a while ago and wanting it so bad.
Not a fan of touch screens. They're nice to use, but after a while a static charge builds up on your hand. Nobody mentions this but it's true.

hmm I agree with the masses here. I would really like a hd monitor like I have currently with the ability to touch it but I would never want to lose my mouse or keyboard.
