• Laptop randomly shuts off

For a couple of days now, every couple hours of usage, my laptop shuts down, for no apparent reason. It's pretty much always plugged in and there are no warnings about battery power at all, everything seems to be fine there, so I'm not sure what could be causing it. Any ideas? [sp]I'm currently on my phone and can't check the specs atm, will post them in a couple of hours.[/sp]
Monitor temperatures with HWMonitor or similar. (Just not Speedfan, it can be highly inaccurate)
If the temps stay below 45 C idle, then your battery is most likely dying.
Yeah, it was temperature. Thanks! Any way I can fix it?
You should be able to open it up and dust out the fans / replace the paste that is under the heatsinks. If you don't feel comfortable with opening it up, either bring it to a computer store and explain the story or get a laptop stand with fans. My little brother had the same issue, active cooler solved it.
