His name was Lloyd
He was my first brand new piece, and my best friend. I had him everyone I went, and we went on crazy adventures together. He lived a long, prosperous life, and I had smoked many a weed with him. He was by far my most used piece, and he got me the highest I have ever gotten in my entire life. My friends always wanted to use him whenever we all smoked together, and he was the smoothest and toughest. I will try and find a bubbler at least half his strength, to carry on his legacy. You will be missed, Lloyd. You did me proud. I hope you're kicking ass in the afterlife, old friend.
First picture of Lloyd ever taken when he was brand new:

The last ever picture taken of Lloyd intact, just taken today:

How did it feel when you broke your first piece?
I wasn't there when my first piece broke, but it was still pretty disheartening.
I lent my friend my first and my favorite bong. It was a cool, silvery-gray color with red swirls going across the whole thing. I hadn't named though.
Long story short, he over-heated it and took a really big hit, which I'm guessing was when it broke because it was in at least 10 pieces. I showed up to his house to find it on the floor, in pieces, and proceeded to cry in a manly manner.
Moral of the story, never lend anyone your pieces.
I had two glass pieces broken over the course of just one month, the first one I was too high and my computer has a FUCK TON of cables all over it, long story short a cable was wrapped around it weird and when I moved stuff around it threw it off my table and directly onto metal. I was so depressed for the rest of the day.
Other time was just 2-3 weeks afterwards, my friend fucked that one up by just fucking around with it too hard.
That was the day I vowed to never own another glass piece again. I've switched to ceramic, more specifically this: http://www.celebrationpipes.com/
I'll never need to buy another piece again.

He dropped it and lied I bet.
I once broke two pieces on the same heating rock (it was winter, my feet were cold).
my first piece lasted nearly an entire fucking year
then it got whipped at the wall

By the way it was broken, you could tell it was heat-shatter, the pieces were more jagged than if you dropped it.
Plus the bottom part of it had padding that kind of looked like a small bean-bag chair for a bong. I've dropped it before with nothing happening, so I really doubt he's dumb enough to drop it from above 10 feet.
I didn't believe him at first either, but I did a ton of research just to find someone to let my anger out at, but at some point I realized it had to be something with he heating/pressure.
I don't own anything so I don't know how bad that feels, but I have accidentally broke other peoples stuff and I think that feels even worse.
It was only a bowl thankfully, not the whole bong. I was hitting it too long and burnt my fingers when I went to pull it. Felt like such a dick.
Never broken a piece, but me and my friend were lighting up before some shrooms. My other mate was still an hour off so we thought we would get hell stoned then be at the right level by the time he got here. We had two cones each before my friend dropped the glass cone... was the worst day of my life. Had to gatorbong it instead. The shrooms were good though.
Rest in pieces Lloyd. Forever in our hearts where all the other fallen brethen lay.
RIP Skeleton Jelly. My first bong will always be first in my heart, they took you to god damn soon.
RIP Regina. You were a freaky little bubbler and it made me love you all the more.
RIP Killer. When i first met you, you almost killed me by choking me to death, from then on i knew i would cherish our relationship. And even in death, i cherish it relentlessly.
LONG LIVE THE BRAIN BLASTER, MAY YOUR REICH NEVER FALL.

My first piece kicked the bucket a couple months ago.
I've broken quite a few pieces, a few expensive ones too. 2 $300-400 bongs and 1 $200 bubbler, plus a couple bowls and slides. It is a terrible feeling watching your piece hit the ground and shatter. Still collecting though, just bought a new one yesterday.
I never broke any of my glass ever, but every single previously owned bongs/pipes/smoking stuff were taken by my parents or the cops except the couple i have now.
It sucks cuz when my parents took my pipes, I wouldn't get in trouble, but they also wouldn't say anything that they took them. So one day they would just be missing, and I would have to back track and think about wtf happened to them. The only logical conclusion I came to was that my parents found them and took them. Most of them I don't care about, but there's this one absolute favorite bubbler I had that was taken (I THINK) by my parents.

All I wanted is some closure :(
That was a beautiful hammer, may he rest in piece. <3
i cracked the inside bit of the bowl of my pipe while attempting to clean it out, so i took it outside and gave it a viking funeral by winding up and smashing it onto my driveway
but damn did i smoke a lot of resin the the few days after that!
I'm trying to make a necklace out of the bowl piece, but I don't want to damage his remains and break off the water chamber. Oh what to do..
