• Where does your Representative and Senator stand on striking Syria? Here's a list of fors, againsts,
Lawmakers appear to be tentatively dividing into four camps over military action in Syria. Each dot represents a lawmaker who has indicated how he or she might vote. Although it's not yet certain how the lawmaker will vote, the sentiment of the quote is mapped across the four categories. Find out about the divisions by reading their own words.
The list is in the link, it couldn't be copied/pasted. My representative is undecided. I don't see the list? The link doesn't have one. [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] Now its there, senate is undecided, house leans towards no.
I don't see the list? The link doesn't have one. [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] Now its there, senate is undecided, house leans towards no.
Time to write, call and generally harass everyone's senator.
Some of the comments at the bottom of that article hurt my brain.
Senate has an update of 60 nay 23 yay 14 undecided
Senate has an update of 60 nay 23 yay 14 undecided
That's relieving. It appears that the US will be staying out of it.
The hearing that's going on is rattling kerry [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] Hold on. Some things are not right with the figures I was given. Here is CNN's take: House: http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2013/09/politics/syria-congress-vote-count/house.html?hpt=hp_t1 Senate: http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2013/09/politics/syria-congress-vote-count/index.html
And they call the GOP 'war hawks'
It isn't a political matter though, so party lines don't matter. If its going anything like it did here then the allegiance of someone isn't the reason why they are voting one way or another.
Both my senators (GA) voted yes. I will vote no on them next time.
And they call the GOP 'war hawks'
obama was a democrat last i checked.
fucking boxer and feinstein want their war!
obama was a democrat last i checked.
And he hasn't started a war or prolonged conflict yet. Libya is arguable but that was under Nato.
Both my senators (GA) voted yes. I will vote no on them next time.
I've got one yes and one undecided. And my Congressional Representative is undecided.
If you look at the list of conflicts started from presidential action, the list is almost always a Republican using executive power to start wars.
Looking at this just makes you realize how bad partisan politics is.
Even though we don't have a voice in this, if congress were to say yes to military action the soldiers here would get sent as well, we don't even have someone to represents us in this situation yet we are equally affected. so please congress, don't send us to syria :[
And he hasn't started a war or prolonged conflict yet. Libya is arguable but that was under Nato.
he sure as hell continued and expanded the conflicts whenever he could.
he sure as hell continued and expanded the conflicts whenever he could.
Man, that continued insurgency in Iraq, now in it's 12th year and stepped up deployment in Afghanistan sure is going well.
Man, that continued insurgency in Iraq, now in it's 12th year and stepped up deployment in Afghanistan sure is going well.
he tried to stay in iraq.
Part of the war on terror, bush started it.
Nice umbrella to tack on anything Obama does now. "It's part of the War on Terror! Bush's fault! Don't matter of Obama is still sending out the drones!"
fucking boxer and feinstein want their war!
On any issue facing American policies think of the stupidiest position you could possibly hold and every time consistently Feinstein will hold it. I don't understand how someone so stupid can even be a politician
Both my senators are totally against (KY)
To be fair, 3 of the 4 are opinion articles
It's not about the thoughts of the articles, but the fact that it's happening in Pakistan. I was aware they are opinion articles.
Part of the war on terror, bush started it.
Part of Obamas campaign was that he would end the war.
Part of the war on terror, bush started it.
continuing an unjust war is not any more noble than starting one
All from Utah are either against or undecided, and my state is republican as hell, so I think calling the republicans war hungry is vastly overstated.
