Game developer calls out IGN reviewer for lying in review, IGN reviewer removes incriminating eviden

Basically reviewer says he played ending on normal, complains about ending. Game dev calls him out on playing easy (not getting the full ending and the additional level) and then the IGN reviewer insists he played normal and removed his segment on his review about playing on normal because he actually played on easy. Extremely difficult to word this.
Just look at the image.

Could be argued that this belongs in Gamergate corruption discussion but this is fucked up. I'd be livid if someone rated my game poorly and based their review on a lie. It's one thing to play on easy but it's another to cover up the fact that you're playing easy.
lock plz
IGN can go fuck themselves.
Game journalism and reviewing is a good joke.
Isn't this from 2011 as evident by the reviewer naming the year in his "review"?
yeah. this is kind of old.
This is beyond late.
Oh shit, the person released it the week that PixelJunk's latest game released on PS4 in order to bait another shitstorm. Sorry guys.
I should probably be mad but then I realize, it's IGN, it's game journalism, no one should take it seriously.
IGN's one of the better game media news sources, and this is a three year-old controversy.
He could have just been more honest about it, they have to play and review many games, so no wonder one would take a quicker path to get the job done. That is, if the company truly has little time for the games they are getting. Wouldn't expect a good review from that writer now.

IGN's great if you wanna hear about how great the latest Call of Duty is
Not so much if you're looking for something else
I look at GameTrailers for my daily reviews. Which is a better option by the way.
IGN has always been fucking unreliable. Always.
Shit staff (at least most of them anyway). Shit opinions. Shit reviews. And shit for the most part, unless you want to watch a E3 trailer.
Just don't waste time reading about games, play games.
Not defending IGN but I think locking ending sequence because you played on easy is kinda strange.

I think extra (or even standard) effort should reward the player. It's no different than say, Kingdom Hearts adding an extra sequence at the end for people who played at higher difficulties (or whatever the requirement was)
If I were a developer I'd do the exact same thing.

It helps to do research about a game before buying/playing it. That's why shit like this is bad.

In other words waste money on a bad game because you didn't know it was bad?
Can't you guys just watch gameplay videos and judge it from that yourself? Rather then reading a article on what some guy thinks?
